- 3 cities on alert October 7, 2014 Beheading Terrorism Threat at Rhode Island Elementary Schools In all 3 cities in Rhode Island, Cranston, Johnston and Warwick, police placed officers in elementary schools after they received a hand-written note on Tuesday the 7th threatening a "beheading is planned." Speculation of terrorist motives and connections or inspiration appeared on Twitter with one tweet headlined "ISIS threatening to behead school children" while others openly speculated that the threat probably came from Muslims with ties to terrorism after beheadings by ISIS and radicalized converts in Oaklahoma and London. Some parents kept their children home even as most thought it was some kind of a prank, or possibly a prank inspired or carried out by people with terrorist intent. If so, this would be the first major terroristic threat against a school which appears to be inspired by the actions of the militant Islamists responsible for nearly all of the beheadings in the 21st century. Counterjihad blogs covering this include Washington Free Beacon, gatewaypundit, and jihadwatch. USA Today did not mention beheadings, and most US national media ignored the story.

- Message Obama Had Hand-Delivered to Mosque Reportedly Attended by Oklahoma Beheading Suspect TheBlaze President Barack Obama sent the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City, the mosque that beheading suspect Alton Nolen reportedly attended, a special message on Saturday thanking them for their “service.” An Obama administration official apparently hand-delivered the message from the president. “Your service is a powerful example of the powerful roots of the Abrahamic faiths and how our communities can come together with shared peace with dignity and a sense of justice,” Obama said. snopes debunks: On 4 October, 2014 David Myers, director of the Homeland Security's Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, spoke at the Greater Islamic Society of Oklahoma city, delivered a message of gratitude for its service following the 2013 tornado in Moore. "Leaders say vicious messages are being left for Oklahoma Muslims telling them to get out of Oklahoma.. all because the man behind the beheading claimed to be Muslim.. but the community received the highest praise for the hard work rebuilding..."
- political insider did the Justice Department investigate this act of terrorism? Was the mosque investigated, and did authorities collect records of communications between the mosque and Nolen? And has Barack Obama even mentioned this story? The answers to those questions are: NO. Instead, Obama did the opposite… He sent a letter of thanks and praise to that same mosque, at the time when Muslims marked the end of the yearly pilgrimage to mecca with communal prayer, during a celebration called Eid Ul-Adha. No White House official was sent to the funeral of Colleen Hufford, but a White House official offered this note from the President: OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Muslims marked the end of the yearly pilgrimage to mecca with communal prayer and celebration called Eid Ul-Adha on Saturday. Leaders of the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City say it’s been a tough month for Muslims here in Oklahoma after being associated with the beheading at Vaughan foods in Moore. Leaders of the faith here in the state say vicious messages are being left for Oklahoma Muslims, telling them to get out of Oklahoma and threatening to behead them all because the man behind the beheading claimed to be Muslim. But the Muslim community received the highest form of praise from the White House for their hard work in helping rebuild the Moore community after a destructive tornado tore through the city in 2013. Today, an official from Washington D.C. flew in to Oklahoma to present a special thank you to the Muslim congregation. He read a message from President Barrack [sic] Obama, extending warm greetings from the American people during the Muslim holiday. “Your service is a powerful example of the powerful roots of the Abrahamic faiths and how our communities can come together with shared peace with dignity and a sense of justice,” President Barack Obama said. The Imam, the leader of the prayer service, stated during his sermon that the Muslim faith has been called a “cancer that needs to be cut off from the American society.” Now, with the recent praise, Oklahoma Muslims have been reassured that they are apart of the American society.
