The officers then went inside the home and found a 55-year-old woman who had been shot, Jenal said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.  Tuesday, police in Panorama City fatally shot a man the LAPD said was armed with a handgun. Coroner's officials identified him as Florencio Chaidez after 911 caller reported a man with a gun. When police arrived  at some point Chaidez "presented a handgun" that was later found near his body.

"After the teenager refused to comply and used obscene language, the officer went over and a there was a scuffle." Avendaño wrote on Facebook that the officer approached the suspect for "jaywalking." "He barely stepped out of the bus he was 2 feet away from the sidewalk when the cop stopped him for jaywalking,... He didn't have to hit the kid with the baton & no need to call about 20 cops.
