Friday January 17, 2014 2 Shot At North Philadelphia Charter School Two students were shot in the cafeteria before 3:30 p.m. at Delaware Valley Charter High School in North Philadelphia. Authorities were asking the shooter to turn himself in.

Wednesday January 15, 2014  17-year-old Topeka West High School student. Brendan Steven Moore was arrested for threatening to kill students at school. He was charged with four counts of soliciting first-degree murder. Earlier in the year at student sent a tweet which suggested she might want to blow up the building, but there was no criminal intent.

Tuesday January 14, 2014 Roswell Middle School Student Fires Shotgun A 12-year-old boy in Roswell, New Mexico ran into the gym, drew a shotgun from a band-instrument case in the gym and shot and wounded a boy and girl classmates at his middle school. Then he shot at the ceiling and a teacher talked him into dropping the weapon. A classmate described the shooter as a "smart kid and a nice kid" as officials searched for a motive

Monday January 13, 2014  Colorado District Closes Schools After Reports Of Possible Shooting, Bomb Threat The South Conejos School District superintendent told 11 News that over the weekend, there were rumors in the community that there could be a shooting at either the high school or elementary school, and a a bomb threat. The high school and the building housing the elementary and middle schools were closed Monday but nothing was found.

Sunday January 12, 2014 Grenade Injures Firefighters At Mindanao Science College At the Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology Mindanao, Phillipines, a man tossed a grenade near a firetruck as firefighters and police were fighting a fire which may have been set in building for security guards as a lure. The blast injured more than 24 people. In November a bomb was found by the flagpole but may have been set to scare rather than detonate.

Thursday January 9, 2014  Threat of school shooting leads to arrest in Westport 
Former student Dylon Campbell allegedly made a threat on Facebook against   a current student and a former student at Ocosta High School in Westport Washington.
