- March 1, 2015 Over 1,100 people killed in Iraq in February – UN At least 1,103 people died in Iraq in February in violence, the UN mission report has stated, as quoted by Interfax news agency. A total of 611 of the victims are civilians. Also, 2,280 people were wounded in the violence, 1,353 of them civilians. The most violent city was the capital, Baghdad, with 329 civilians killed and 875 wounded, according to the report, as cited by AP. The report doesn’t cover the territories controlled by Islamic State jihadists, who hold sway over about one third of the country.

Carolina club RT Two people were shot at a Charlotte, North Carolina nightclub where rappers T.I., Young Jeezy and Yo Gotti were invited to perform, AP reports, citing local police. Both victims in the shooting incident have non-life-threatening injuries and are being treated in hospital. Police say it's not clear who was targeted by the suspect. No arrests have been made. All three rappers were on stage during the shooting, according to USA Today.
