Corporal David Eric Casebolt, a 40-year-old Navy veteran who has been an officer in McKinney for nearly 10 years, resigned from the department He had been placed on administrative leave on Sunday.

incident happened Friday, June 5, at about 7:15 p.m. The department said officers responded to the Craig Ranch North Community Pool for a “disturbance involving multiple juveniles at the location, who do not live in the area or have permission to be there, refusing to leave.” The teens were black in a primarily white neighborhood, raising concerns on social media that the 911 calls and the violent arrests of teens in bathing suits were racially motivated. An adult male was arrested on charges of interfering with police and evading arrest.

Conservative Tree House woman who organized the event named Tatiana Rhodes.. retains a fake id and has began scrubbing most of her social media accounts...  Tatiana had been promoting a party via twitter under the hashtag name “Dime Piece Cookout” for approximately a month subdivision has a Homeowners Association (HOA) which regulates and controls the activities in/around the HOA swimming pool and clubhouse and has strict rules for use thereof. Neither Tatiana Rhodes nor her mother sought permission to use the pool or clubhouse area as part of the event.  However, Tatiana hired a DJ and promoted the event to include a pool party: numerous social media links reflecting that Tatiana organizes these “parties”, and charges for attendance, as a profit generating business.  Her enterprise name is promoted under the auspices of “Twinzzpromotions”  event last Friday was advertised as “free attendance”  to promote “Make It Clap 2″, an event scheduled for June 19th (8pm to 1am) $5 advance Tix, $8 at event.  DJReign aka Andrew Cosby is also now scrubbing media and hiding his profiles. more than 100 additional people, mostly teens, showed up as a result of the advertising promoted by Tatiana on social media.   They were dropped off by the car-load...  100+ teens (and young adults) turned into a mob  jumping the fence to the gated pool area

On Friday, June 5, 2015, at a pool party in McKinney, Texas, a police officer was video-recorded restraining an unarmed fifteen-year-old girl on the ground. He later drew his handgunduring the same incident.[1] The incident was caught on video and was posted on YouTube by another teenage partygoer. Within hours, millions of people had seen the video.[2] The officer shown in the video was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation and later resigned.[3] The incident sparked protests in McKinney involving hundreds of people.[3][4]

Background[edit]

The officer involved was a McKinney Police Department officer who served in the department for ten years. He was also a Texas State Trooper. He had previously received the McKinney Patrolman of the Year award for 2008.[5] [6]

Incident[edit]

Around a dozen police officers responded to an incident involving a pool party at Craig Ranch neighborhood in McKinney. The incident described by police as a disturbance involved around 100 teens at a pool party. At the scene, an officer pushed a 15-year old dressed in a bikini to the ground. When two teenage bystanders came to the girl's aid, the officer is seen drawing his weapon. The officer was also heard cursing. The entire event was captured on video.[7]

Reaction[edit]

McKinney Police Chief Greg Conley said that the officer's actions were "indefensible" and did not reflect on the department's high standard of action. Conley stated that he was "out of control" during the incident. The police department also said they had started an investigation.[8]
