  • Ruzhou School massacre Yan Yanming (Chinese: 闫彦明) (1983 – January 18, 2005) was a Chinese mass murderer who entered a dormitory at the Number Two High School in Ruzhou, China on November 26, 2004 with a knife and attacked twelve boys, killing nine of them.[1][2] After the attack, Yanming ran away from the school, but was arrested hours later after he failed to commit suicide because his mother had reported his location to the Ruzhou police.[3] After trial, Yanming was sentenced to death and executed on January 18, 2005 in Pingdingshan.[4]

41 killed 120 injured February 2004 Moscow metro bombing occurred on 6 February 2004 when a male suicide bomber killed 41 people near Avtozavodskaya subway station on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line in Moscow. 2 killed, 1 convicted June 13, 2004 Keven Lee Graff  High When He Murders 2 Hollywood Men In California  Keven Lee Graff, a 27-year-old homeless man, broke into retired screenwriter Robert Lees' home. Graff attacked the 91-year-old and decapitated him, and broke into neighboring home of 69-year-old retired doctor, Morley Engleson, then attacked and killed him as well. Graff stole Engleson's 2001 Mercedes-Benz and left the scene. Next day, Graff caught the attention of security guards at the gates of Paramount Pictures. Graff claimed that a man on the streets of Hollywood gave him methamphetamine and Ecstasy the night before the murders claiming he had no memory of committing the murders. In February 2008, Graff, under a plea bargain, pleaded guilty to ten felonies for the murders of Lees and Engelson, sentence of two consecutive life terms

The Russian aircraft bombings of August 2004 were terrorist attacks on two domestic Russian passenger aircraft at around 23:00 on 24 August 2004. Both planes had flown out of Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow.  Two aircraft apparently downed by bombs same night at same airport: last time that two aircraft departing from the same airport on the same day were both involved in a fatal event was 11 September 2001 when an American Airlines 767 and United Airlines 767 were hijacked and flown into the World Trade Center towers.

All eight crew members and 38 passengers were killed.  24 August 2004; Sibir Airlines Tupolev 154B; near Rostov-on-Don, Russia: The aircraft departed Moscow Domodedovo Airport (DME) about 2240 on a scheduled flight to Sochi near the Black Sea. This aircraft took off about 10 minutes after a Volga-Aviaexpress Tupolev 134A which also crashed the same evening after departing the same airport. The aircraft broke up in flight and crashed, about 20 minutes after takeoff and within minutes of the in flight breakup of the Volga-Aviaexpress aircraft. (airsafe)

The crisis began when a group of armed Islamicseparatist militants, mostly Ingush and Chechen, occupied School Number One (SNO) in the town of Beslan, North Ossetia (an autonomous republic in the North Caucasusregion of the Russian Federation) on 1 September 2004. The hostage-takers were the Riyadus-Salikhin Battalion, sent by the Chechen warlord Shamil Basayev, who demanded recognition of the independence of Chechnya at the UN and Russian withdrawal from Chechnya. On the third day of the standoff, Russian security forces stormed the building with the use of tanks, incendiary rockets and other heavy weapons.[6] At least 385 hostages were killed, including 186 children,[7][8] with a significant number of people injured and reported missing. November 21, 2004 - in Birchwood, Wisconsin, a hunter killed six other hunters and wounded two others after an argument with them. (Newsmax) November of 2004 in Sawyer County during hunting season. Six hunters were killed and two were wounded by 36-year-old Chai Vang. Vang is now serving life in prison. (fox6now) Chai Vang - Wikipedia Chai Soua Vang (born September 24, 1968) is a naturalized U.S. citizen and a Hmong immigrant from Laos. While on a hunting trip in northern Wisconsin, Vang shot eight people, who were also hunting in the area, on November 21, 2004. Six were killed and two were left wounded. Vang acknowledged shooting the people, but challenged the chain of events that caused a dispute over a deer stand to become violent and escalate into multiple deaths.
