WWII Veteran Eugene Hanna Render age 88 Shot By Teens

2 non-white teens arrested in shooting death of 88-year-old White WWII veteran 
Police arrested two Canton teenagers Monday in connection to the shooting death of an 88-year-old man. Japheth Thomas, 19, was arrested. Mikal Johnson, 18, was arrested. Both are charged with aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary. Davis said detectives are continuing to investigate and further charges may be pending. Eugene H. Render, 88, was shot twice, once in the chest and once in the abdomen, and found in his kitchen The Stark County coroner's office pronounced Render dead at the scene. -

    Eugene Hanna Render age 88, of Canton, had his life taken unexpectedly on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013. A veteran of World War II, he served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. Member of the Painters Union #603, he loved boating and sports and he helped a lot of people through hard times.
