HealthCare.gov Should Cost Less Than $10 Million Not $1 Billion

HealthCare.gov Should Cost Less Than $10 Million Not $1 Billion

The price for building the Obamacare website HealthCare.gov should have topped out at less than $10 million, tech experts have claimed.

"I would say to build a site like this with the infrastructure, the architecture around it, you are looking at maybe $5 million to $10 million at a very maximum rate," David Kennedy, President and CEO of TrustedSec also known as the "White Hat Hacker" told Sean Hannity on Fox News Wednesday.

"It isn't rocket science," Kennedy said. "Web application development is a proven science. Companies do it all the time."
Luke Chung, president and founder of FMS Software Solutions, said the front end of the website could have been built for $1 million, but he agreed with Kennedy that the whole thing should have cost from $5 to $10 million.

"This does not need to be a Silicon Valley space project," Chung said.

"None of these contractors are ever held accountable for delivering such crap," he added.

According to a government analyst, the total cost for the glitch-ridden healthcare website has reached $1 billion.
