He has a lengthy history of gun arrests, violence and mental health problems, and ranted about the hospital's 'gun-free' policy (political issue) The shooting was inside the psychiatric unit inside psychiatrist Dr. Lee Silverman’s office. The doctor was also wounded but shot Plotts three times
