The attack coincides with Afghan Vice President Abdul Rashid Dostum returning to Afghanistan after more than a year in exile in Turkey. Dostum and his entourage are unwounded.   3. 2018 Toronto shooting  A mass shooting in Toronto, Ontario, Canada leaves two civilians dead, and 12 injured. The shooter is found dead nearby after exchanging gunfire with police and fleeing. (AP)

July 22, 2018  Toronto Greektown Mass Shooting 3 are killed including gunman as 14 were shot in a terrorist style suicidal mass shooting attack in  Toronto's Greektown at 10 PM (2) One girl, around 8 years old, was in critical condition.(3).  A man walked along a Toronto street repeatedly firing a pistol into restaurants and cafes (5) Officers confronted the gunman and after a brief gunfight, the gunman ran and was found dead.(3) . “When you have this many people that are struck by gunfire, it’s a grave concern,” said Chief Mark Saunders of the Toronto Police Service, and said that the attack was not random, and they would not rule out terrorism. Days after authorities had identified the suspect as Faisal Hussain, 29, of Toronto, a common Arabic name.(4) they still had not established any possible motive even though when Canada suffered a shooting at a mosque in Quebec that left six dead and eight others wounded Mr. Trudeau was quick to label it a “terrorist attack on Muslims. (3)  The attack comes a few months after an Armenian van driver who left an angry note about women but had no connection to terrorists ran over and killed people in the city. (1)

John Lee Cowell Oakland Bart Stabbing Suspect Anonymous tip leads to arrest of suspect in Oakland BART platform stabbing (1)   At McArthur BART train station in Oakland California Cowell Cowell, white male allegedly slit the throat of black woman 18-year-old Nia Wilson killing her and injuring sister and Letifah Wilson Sunday night was arrested without incident Monday night.  Police apprehended 27-year-old John Lee Cowell, a paroled felon, on a BART train nearly 24 hours after he allegedly attacked sisters Nia and Letifah Wilson in a vicious stabbing at the MacArthur station in Oakland. An anonymous caller had tipped police that Cowell had boarded an Antioch-bound train, reports the San Francisco Gate.  Cowell   had a long criminal record, at 18 beating and up a man and punching his daughter, in another 5 times afterwards and fare beating four days before the stabbing (4)
  7. 22 Betsy DeVos’ $40M yacht damaged hit dock when vandal sets it adrift New York Post  By Yaron Steinbuch July 26, 2018  A $40 million yacht owned by Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos was damaged when a vandal untied it from its dock at a Ohio marina and set it adrift, according to a report.  crew managed to get control of the yacht, but not before it hit the dock, causing about $5,000 to $10,000 in damage from large scratches and scrapes. Political target = terrorist?

Without turning on his headlights, Garcia peeled out of the parking lot with a Kent police officer in pursuit.  Moreno died when he was struck by a pursuing Kent police SUV after laying out a  strip of spikes to slow the fleeing pickup.... commits a felony and as a result of that crime — or fleeing from that crime — causes the death of another person.
