Domestic Violence Killing Spree --- ===

Theoretical terrorist modus operandi: In a clandestine attack to hide the motive for a terrorist attack, target for killing a family member or close romantic friend,  roommate, or ex-wife to make it look like a targeted anger killing, and then kill a half-dozen bystanders for no reason at all so that nobody will realize it was terrorist attack on random soft targets. When it is the bystanders that get hurt, they are probably the real targets.

Only one case Eric Muenter was almost certainly a terrorist for Germany who as a Harvard German professor first selects a domestic relationship, his wife his first victim before re-appearing in 1915 to bomb the US Capitol building and trying to kill J.P. Morgan's son in his home. From pre-world war I, a German spy first kills his wife, apparently to prove how cold blooded he can be to his spy bosses.  Eric Muenter  Although employed as a German professor at elite American universities, ... he poisoned and killed his wife. As a professor at Harvard University, he poisoned and killed his wife. He appeared again as Cornell University professor Frank Holt who contacted the German spy network which engaged to sabotage US aid to the war in Europe against Germany. In 1915, he planted a bomb which exploded in the US Capitol, shot Jack Morgan, son of financier J.P. Morgan in his home, and predicted the bombing of a steamship bound for England before committing suicide under custody of police. His activities along with those of other Germans were played up by the press as "Hun barbarity" anti-German feelings rose in the years as America eventually entered the war with Germany.

Saturday June 15, 2019 Saturday  Chandrasekhar Sunkara Indian Murder Suicide Iowa Family Officials determined that an Iowa Indian American family of four was found shot dead in the mornign at home in a murder-suicide  Chandrasekhar "Chandra" Sunkara, 44, died by suicide [2]   Wife Lavanya Sunkara, 41  and two boys his sons, ages 15 and 10 were pronounced dead at the scene, the city of West Des Moines. Four other family members, two of whom are children, were staying in the home as guests and discovered the bodies. [4]  Iowa's Department of Public Safety said Chandrasekhar was one of their high tech IT workers. The boys were students who aspired to the Ivy Leage who went to national scholastic competitions [7] Earlier that year on April 28, 2019 in the Sikh Indian American household of  Hakiakat Singh Pannang in West Chester Township, a son in law discovered that four people were all killed by gunshots but hate crime has been ruled out and there is no suspect or person of interest.

June 6, 2019  Jose Salvador Meza San Gabriel Not Terrorist Standoff Jose Salvador Meza, 35, of San Gabriel died following the hours-long standoff included setting of fires and fireworks, rubber bullets, a robotic officer, SWAT, shutting down a freeway and a neighborhood evacuation.

4 killed in mass shooting no suspect April 28, 2019 Hakiakat Singh Pannang Sikh Household of 4 Murdered in Ohio Four people, a man and his wife, sister and daughter  were found all killed by gunshots by husband of the daughter Gurpreet Singh. He was questioned as a witness. India's minister of external affairs responded that they do not believe it was hate crime, as one was a visiting Indian national, and the others were of Indian origin man (2)  Sikh religion.  Authorities have ruled out robbery or murder-suicide [5] As of June, no suspects had been identified but  they believe the shooting wasn't random. (6) 

May 19, 2019  Alabama Gunman Grady Wayne Wilkes Accused Kills 1 Wounds 2 Police 2 police are wounded and 1 killed when police answer a domestic disturbance call, and are shot by 29 yr old Grady Wayne Wilkes  clad in military style gear with camouflage, body armor and a helmet. He was arrested by the next day. [1] No indication of motive or that it might have been a terrorist attack. Suspect is white male.

January 26, 2019 Dakota Theriot Louisiana shootings  kills 5 girlfriend, her father and brother, own father and mother. - A manhunt sought Dakota Theriot a Louisiana man suspected of a Saturday morning killing spree that has left five people dead in two families. He is suspected of fatally shooting a woman believed to be his girlfriend, and her father and her brother at their home in Livingston Parish, near New Orleans where the suspect had been living for a couple of weeks

Saturday September 29, 2018  Allentown Car Explosion Murder Suicide 3 killed. In Allentown Pennsylvania  Jacob Schmoyer lured friend, 66-year-old David Hallman into his car with his 2 year old son and used an improvised bomb to blow up and kill them all including himself. Schmoyer mailed several lettters indicating hatred for his son and friend, so terrorism was ruled out. A few homes were so heavily damaged the residents might not return for several days (1) Schmoyer had Facebook posts in 2010 about explosive compounds and used readily available, legal components to build the improvised explosive bomb. (2)  Alternative theory - only terrorists use car bombs, nobody uses them just for suicide except this suspect.

1 killed Mount Vernon Timothy Hernandez Admits Beheaded Girlfriend for God August 25, 2018  In Mount Vernon, Washington north of Seattle, the parents of Timothy Hernandez who told police the couple had argued the night before returned from church to find the beheaded body of his girlfriend and mother of his daughter 27-year-old Vanessa Cons. Her head had been cut off in the presence of the daughter and placed on her torso with multiple stab wounds. A bloody butcher knife was found in the sink with bloody footprints leading to the sink. (1)  Police say Hernandez quoted Bible verses that referred to women being disobedient to God, and reportedly admitted that he “struck her down because she did not repent,”  and was not crazy because he was telling “the truth,” . He said God works in mysterious ways” and he shouldn’t question God’s will, according to the Skagit Valley Herald. Police interviewed the 3-year-old girl who he and the victim had been caring for that she saw her father cut her mother with scissors and that Hernandez had told her to “say goodbye to Mommy(3)  Hernandez is now charged with first-degree murder in Skagit County Superior Court, to which he as pleaded not guilty (4)

August 23, 2018 ISIS claims man with mental health issues kills mother and sister near Paris; Islamic State group claims attack AFP-JIJI  AUG 23, 2018 PARIS – A man stabbed his mother and sister to death and seriously injured another person in a town near Paris on Thursday before being shot dead by police.  Aug. 23 after a man killed two persons and injured another in a knife attack in Trappes, near Paris, according to French authorities.  The killer had serious mental health problems and had been on a terror watch list since 2016, Interior Minister Gerard Collomb the town of Trappes. motive  unclear despite a claim by the Islamic State group (IS) that it was an attack by one of its fighters responding to the terror organization’s propaganda. Collomb said the attacker was “mentally unstable, rather than someone who was committed, who would respond to orders from a terrorist organization, in particular Daesh,” using another name for IS.

June 10-11, 2018 Gary Wayne Lindsey Jr Domestic Violence Shoots Cop Kills 4 Child Hostages Suicide Gunman 35 year old Gary Waynbe Lindsey Jr barricaded himself in a Orlando Florida apartment near Universal Studios 11:45 p.m. Sunday [6] holding 4 children hostage in standoff after his girlfriend called police that she was being battered [4] . He shot one of the responding police officers Officer Kevin Valencia, as other officers fired back in gunfight.  Nearly 24 hours after the standoff began police SWAT team found the gunman dead in a closet after he had killed all 4 child hostages. [2] [5] He was on probation for arson [1]  Gary Wayne Lindsey Jr. was arrested in Volusia County in 2004 on charges of aggravated assault, but the charges were dropped, records show. [3]

June 4, 2018 7 killed including self Dwight Lamon Jones Arizona 2018 Serial Killer Police in Arizona say a suspect linked to the killings of several professionals Scottsdale, Arizona was found dead in a hotel room early Monday. June 4 after tracking him down to Extended Stay America  as a police SWAT team closed in. He was  identified as 56-year-old Dwight Lamon Jones. [1]  Before the Scottsdale shootings, Dwight Lamon Jones apparently posted YouTube videos outlining what he saw as a conspiracy to take his son away [2]  targeting a prominent forensic psychiatrist psychiatrist Steven Pitt on May 31, 2018[4] involved in high profile JonBenet Ramsey Colorado, Columbine High School shooting and Phoenix serial killer investigation, two paralegals and a psychologist . Veleria Sharp, 48, Laura Anderson, 49 were shot dead at the Law Offices of Burt, Feldman and Grenier, in Old Town Scottsdale on June 1 where  Jones’ wife’s attorney, Elizabeth Feldman worked.  On June 2, Marshall Levine, 72, was found dead outside of her business after Jones was looking for the therapist he had seen there. These 4 victims were connected to Jones through his divorce with his wife Connie.  The final two victims were identified as Mary Simmons, 70, and Byron Thomas, 72 though police have not revealed how they were related to the divorce case at their home in Fountain Hills.  [3]  Forensic established the same gun was used in all of the shootings.

 April 18, 2018 North Carolina Maurice Laron Garner Mass Shooting Muder Suicide Girlfriend and Family  mother, 32-year-old Erica Nichelle Smith, was also killed. Shooter  Garner tried to file a domestic violence order against Smith on Monday saying "trying to set me up to be killed. Her and her family texting pictures of my driver license" Erica Smith and Maurice Laron Garner  came to his girlfriend’s place of work at Mission Hospital and the couple got into an argument.  it doesn't appear that Garner was the father of any of the children. She said he was found in a car nearby with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Wednesday night after Maurice Laron Garner got into an argument with his girlfriend at the hospital where she worked. family says Erica had broken up with Garner but he wanted to get back together and was angry and jealous.    eldest daughter, Harmony, was an eight-grader at Asheville Middle School, where she won first place in a track and field meet just hours before her death.  Her son Keithan was an honor student and a wrestler at Asheville High School.

March 26, 2018 Lois Riess Murder Spree Suspect  David Riess, 54, was discovered dead in the couple's rural Blooming Prairie Minnesota home on March 26, 2018. Authorities ruled it homicide and was looking for his wifeLois Riess  as a "person of interest". The Dodge County Sheriff's Office and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are leading the investigation; U.S. Marshals in Minnesota are aiding with the search for Lois Riess. March 28 she was charged with one count of felony theft in Dodge County District Court, and a warrant was issued for her arrest for taking $10,000 from her husband's business account, forging her husband's signature on three checks written from his personal account to herself, totaling $11,000. She traveled to Florida where she befriended and murdered Pamela Sellers Hutchinson leaving her dead in her condo, and was arrested on April 19, 2018 in Texas not far from the Mexican border.


February 15, 2018 Jacob Gonzales Suspect in Samurai Sword Murder Girlfriend  Katherine Cunningham was apparently murdered by beheading by suspect and boyfriend Jacob Gonzales. After the killing he stole her car and abandoned it near near Yreka California where a samurai sword was recovered from the trunk of the car and was found to have her DNA on the hilt. (1)   Gonzoles was first called a person of interest but now a suspect in her death as a $1 million, nationwide warrant was issued. On March 3, a man interested in buying a 10-acre parcel found a sleeping bag with the decapitated body of Katherine Cunningham, 26 and a trail of empty sand bags leading to a survivalist style bunker dug six feet into the ground with wooden walls with a small arsenal suitable for a one man terrorist attack with two bolt-action rifles, a pump-action shotgun, a .22 caliber rifle with an altered stock and over 1,000 rounds of ammunition, all loaded with rounds in their chambers. A travel trailer on the property had a 9 mm handgun hidden inside a man’s hiking boot.(3)

  • May 3, 2017 Mirza Tatlic Shoots Juniper Networks VP And Wife In Rage Over Ex-Girlfriend  Mirza Tatlic, 24, fatally shot Naren Prabhu, an India-born Silicon Valley tech executive, and his wife at their home in San Jose. Tatlic is killed after a standoff with police SWAT team. It is one of a number of recent murders where a man believes that anger over an ex-girlfriend or estranged wife justifies killing other people. 
  • May 1, 2017 Dallas Shooting Spree Kills Father, Shoots Paramedic  Derick Lamont Brown (African American) shot and killed his godfather, then shot a neighbor and responding paramedic who arrive in an ambulance. When police arrived to respond, they cam under fire and killed Brown with a shotgun blast. FBI had been investigating Brown before the rampage. A special agent who spoke at Tuesday's news conference did not reveal the purpose of that investigation or say whether Dallas police were informed of it before the shooting.  Brown had a lengthy criminal history and was chairman of the New Black Panther Party in Dallas in the early 2000s.
  • April 30, 2017 Peter Selis Killed By Police At San Diego Pool Party Mass Shooting At a birthday party at the swimming pool in a luxury San Diego apartment complex, resident Peter Selis (described as white car mechanic) shot the host who walked up to greet him and then started shooting into the crowd. He shot four black women (one who later died), two black men and one Latino man . He was said to be calmly holding a beer and a gun waiting for police to arrive who killed him after he  he pointed his gun at responding police. Police initially declined to give motive, later ruled out racism and believe he was distraught over bankruptcy and breakup with his ex-girlfriend who he called during the attack. 

April 16, 2017 crime: shooting murder Random Shooting of Robert Godwin on Ohio Sidewalk motive: girlfriend rage  killed: 1 suspect: wanted details: On Easter day,74-year-old Robert Godwin had left his children's home post at an Easter when he was shot and killed walking on the sidewalk. Suspect 37-year-old Steve Stephens, a bald black man with a beard posted a video of the shooting on his Facebook account titled "Easter day slaughter" and is wanted on a warrant for aggravated murder. He told Godwin that anger over the breakup over Stephens' ex-girlfriend was the reason for the shooting Godwin in the head, and posted another video bragging about 13 other alleged murders he says he’s committed, said that he “messed up”  and would “keep killing until they catch me."  Stephens said he had a gambling problem during the strained relationship and lost everything. Cleveland.com reported Lane as in protective custody and cooperating with police. Stephens was caseworker for the behavioral health agency Beech Brook, even flashing the ID card he wore around his neck during the shooting.

Holt shot himself in the chest earlier Friday after threatening for hours to jump off a New Orleans bridge, authorities said.  during the stand-off on the bridge Holt confessed to killing Simone Veal, 32, of Marrero, La.,[after chasing her into a crash] and Westwego Officer Michael Louviere, [who was shot execution style as he stopped to help the crash victim] several women had taken out protective orders against Hold between 2012 and November 2016. ... also arrested in September after being accused of rape

February 20, 2017  Michael Christopher Mejia Charged In Slaying of Whittier Officer Keith Boyer Whittier Officer Keith Boyer was killed when he and another officer were patting down suspect Michael Mejia who may have deliberately crashed his vehicle into two cars, but he turned around and opened fire. Mejia was shot in the back in the gunfight. Mejia allegedly killing his cousin just hours before.

Mar 27, 2017 Suspect jailed in Sanford shooting that killed girlfriend, injured 5 others Orlando  Sentinel   - One person was killed and 5 others are in the hospital after a shooting in Sanford. Shooting spree that ended with a woman dead and five others injured began with an argument over keys. Latina Herring and her boyfriend, Allen Dion Cashe who has a long criminal history, had the keys to the house and would not give them back.  Police found no reason to arrest Cashe, but later at 6:20 a.m., Herring, 35, was shot and killed, and her sons, 7 and 8, were critically hurt. Her father, Bertis Gerard Herring Jr., 60, was outside, injured and yelling for help. As Cashe, 31, ran through the neighborhood, he shot two bystanders for no apparent motive, a high school student Rakeya Jackson waiting for her bus, and Lazaro Paredesquelite, 43, who was near a baseball field.

Aug. 12, 2015 start of spree Aaron Juan Saucedo Phoenix Serial Street Shooter Suspect Aaron Juan Saucedo, 23, of Phoenix, was suspect in  gunned down nine people in a dozen separate shootings in 2015 and 2016, a was arrested and charged with 26 felony counts of homicide, aggravated assault and drive-by shooting. Saucedo is Hispanic and terrorized a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood. His first victim started with shooting of his mother’s boyfriend, 61-year-old Raul Romero, all of the other victims were random targets.

Year 2014

7 killed including suspect, 3 crime scenes suspect killed  December 29, 2014  9 Vietnamese Killed by Amok Gunman in 3 location spree in Edmonton Canada  53-year-old Phu Lam (Vietnamese ethnic Canadian) went on a killing spree in Edmonton. Alberta,Canada. He shot to death eight people, including two children in two homes, all of whom were his relatives. He then committed suicide at his restaurant in Fort Saskatchewan where RCMP rammed the door with a vehicle. The hours long operation shut down the town and suburbs, and was the worst mass murder in the Edmonton area.
