Saturday September 29, 2018 Allentown Car Explosion Murder Suicide 3 killed. In Allentown Pennsylvania Jacob Schmoyer lured friend, 66-year-old David Hallman into his car with his 2 year old son and used an improvised bomb to blow up and kill them all including himself. Schmoyer mailed several lettters indicating hatred for his son and friend and that he turned his car into a bomb, so terrorism was ruled out. A few homes were so heavily damaged the residents might not return for several days (1) Schmoyer had Facebook posts in 2010 about explosive compounds and used readily available, legal components to build the improvised explosive bomb. (2) Alternative theory - only terrorists use car bombs, nobody uses them just for suicide except this suspect.
