September 19, 2018 4 wounded, 1 gunman killed Masontown Pennsylvania Courthouse Mass Shooting Gunman Patrick S. Dowd entered a court building Wednesday afternoon and shot four people, including a police officer, before another officer shot and killed him. Dowd had a restraining order against him related to a choking case suspect had been charged with strangulation, aggravated assault, terroristic threats and simple assault as a result of a domestic matter several weeks before. The attack had no terrorist motive. It was one of 3 mass shootings in 2 days, the same day as another mass shooting as Anthony Tong shot and injured 4 and was killed by police in a workplace shooting at a software firm in Middleton, Wisconsin and a day before another mass shooting at a Rite Aid distribution center.
