April 18, 2018 North Carolina Maurice Laron Garner Mass Shooting Muder Suicide Girlfriend and Family   Maurice Garner, 35, killed his girlfriend mother Erica Smith, her 15-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter in a triple murder suicide.  Smith's three other sons, ages 8, 10 and 12, suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds; her youngest boy, aged 6, was unharme. The  mother, 32-year-old Erica Nichelle Smith, was also killed. Garner attacked the family Wednesday night after arguing with his girlfriend at the hospital where she worked.  Family member Alexis Cromer told WLOS that Erica had broken up with Garner but he wanted to get back together and was angry and jealous. Shooter  Garner tried to file a domestic violence order against Smith on Monday saying "trying to set me up to be killed. Her and her family texting pictures of my driver license" Erica Smith and Maurice Laron Garner  came to his girlfriend’s place of work at Mission Hospital and the couple got into an argument.  Garner was apparently not the father of any of the children, and the gunman was found in a car nearby with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Wednesday night after Maurice Laron Garner got into an argument with his girlfriend at the hospital where she worked. family says Erica had broken up with Garner but he wanted to get back together and was angry and jealous.  Killed was  eldest daughter, Harmony, was an eight-grader at Asheville Middle School, where she won first place in a track and field meet just hours before her death.  Her son Keithan was an honor student and a wrestler at Asheville High School. North Carolina say a man killed his girlfriend and two of her children, wounded three of their siblings and then turned the gun on himself in a triple murder-suicide.   Maurice Laron Garner, 35, attacked the family Wednesday night after arguing with his girlfriend at the hospital where she worked.  Family member Alexis Cromer told WLOS that Erica had broken up with Garner but he wanted to get back together and was angry and jealous.

Erica is survived by her twin sister and three other siblings, reported Asheville Citizen-Times.
