Wisconsin Bank Law Firm Apartment Shooting Spree

Wisconsin Bank Law Firm Apartment Shooting Spree --- ===

3/22/2017 Wisconsin Bank Law Firm Apartment Shooting Spree crime: shooting spree terror: no link killed 4. Hmong man Nengmy Vang goes off like a terrorist without a cause in a string of shootings in northern Wisconsin that killed a police officer and three others and prompted local schools and a hospital to go on lockdown. Police in northern Wisconsin say an officer and three other people were killed in what apparently began as a domestic dispute in a bank in the small town of Rothschild began shortly after noon on Wednesday, after police were summoned to what they called a “domestic situation” at Marathon Savings Bank when the wife who worked there said his husband was going to kill her.   Police found two women co-wokers shot at the bank and that the suspect fled,  then reports of shooting at a law firm. After calls from apartment shooting of a police officer in northern Wisconsin says he was hit moments after arriving at an apartment complex in pursuit of a suspect armored car came in to retrieve him.  Brother said Nengmy Vang had been acting "crazy" since separating from his wife...police shot Vang in the chest. Vaj says he and Vang were born in Laos and their family moved to the United States in 1988.

Alternative theory:  If it's just a domestic fight why does it look like somebody recruited a Hmong sleeper agent for a an ISIS terror spree to kill 2 bank workers, a lawyer disgruntled client style and ambush a cop like a deadly trained marksman?   It is one of a number of Domestic Violence Killing Spree killings where a person kills a family member or somebody else close before going on a killing rampage against bystanders or random people or police.

The Schofield/Rothschild shooting was a spree killing that occurred in Marathon County, Wisconsin on March 22, 2017. The perpetrator, Nengmy Vang, upset following a dispute with his wife, fatally shot two employees at the bank where she worked, his wife's lawyer, and a police officer. After a three-hour standoff, Vang was shot by police officers and later died from his wounds.

Incident[edit]

Marathon Savings Bank[edit]

Nengmy Vang phoned his wife, Naly, and demanded that she sign divorce papers within 24 hours, or he would kill her.[1]He arrived at the bank a short time later, and asked Naly to sign the papers, saying "Do you want to die now?" in Hmong before exiting the bank to go to his car. According to Naly Vang, she knew that her husband kept a handgun in the car, and fearing for her life, fled to a nearby Subway restaurant.[2] From there, she called police around 1 PM to report her husband's confrontation at the bank. Nengmy Vang then returned to the bank with a black bag, loaded his gun, and shot MSB employees Dianne Look and Karen Barclay, who later died from their wounds.

Law offices of Tlusty, Kennedy & Dirks[edit]

After shooting the bank tellers, Vang drove to the law offices of Tlusty, Kennedy and Dirks, where his wife's attorney, Sara Quirt Sann, worked. He held two people at gunpoint and demanded to be led to Quirt Sann's office, where he briefly confronted Quirt Sann before killing her.[1]

Standoff at Nengmy Vang's apartment[edit]

Vang's final act was to return to his apartment in the town of Weston. As the police set up a safety perimeter around Vang's apartment, a shot rang out, killing Detective Jason Weiland. Weiland's killing began a three-hour standoff, where police and dispatchers attempted to coax Vang out of his apartment, but he refused. Vang called 911 twice during the standoff, expressing remorse for the murders and requesting that news stations send reporters so he could explain his actions. Police turned off power in the apartment, and tore down part of an exterior wall with an armored car, causing Vang to fire a warning shot. Claiming they saw Vang with a gun, an officer fired "more than two dozen rounds"[1] into Vang's apartment, wounding him. Vang later died of his wounds at a Wausau hospital.[3]

Victims[edit]

  • Det. Jason Wieland, 40; an 18-year veteran of Wausau-area law enforcement[4]
  • Dianne Look, 67; branch manager of the Marathon Savings Bank where Naly Vang worked as a teller[4]
  • Karen Barclay, 62; another teller at Marathon Savings Bank[4]
  • Sarah H. Quirt Sann, 43; attorney at Tlusty, Kennedy & Dirks and Naly Vang's divorce lawyer[4]

History of domestic trouble[edit]

Meeting and marriage[edit]

According to a Wausau Daily Herald interview with Naly Vang, her marriage to Nengmy had been fraught with trouble over its 25-year tenure. Naly Vang, a Laotian immigrant, met Nengmy when she was 16, and married a year later when Naly was 17 and Nengmy was 21. She had their first of seven children shortly after the marriage began.[2]

Domestic and financial troubles begin[edit]

Around 2007, according to Naly, Nengmy began spending more time away from home, drinking heavily and leaving Naly to run the household. According to family friends, Nemgmy began dancing with other women at these parties, and after checking his phone bills (Naly dealt with the family's finances), she noticed several calls to another woman. According to court records obtained by the Herald, Nengmy was the target of frequent legal action over unpaid credit card balances, and Naly had attempted to rein in her husband's spending, to no avail.[2][5] In May 2008, Nengmy called the police to report that his wife had broken several appliances while confronting him about a suspected affair. Police arrested Naly on a charge of noncriminal disorderly conduct, and she served no jail time.[2]

End of marriage and Nengmy Vang's mental deterioration[edit]

Though the Vangs' marriage was not especially violent, Nengmy was extremely emotionally abusive, according to Mao Khang, a social worker at a Wausau-based domestic violence organization. Nengmy moved out of the family's house in 2015 and filed for divorce shortly after, hoping for a quick settlement. Nengmy wanted to use the Hmong clan system to resolve the divorce, but Naly wished to use the court system, as she felt it would give her more security towards receiving custody and child support payments.[2]
Naly believed that Nengmy was pursuing a relationship with a woman in Laos, as he told her he was planning on moving there after attempting to cash out some of his assets. According to Nengmy Vang's brother, he began acting "crazy," and hit their mother after his separation from Naly; he also believed his brother to have a "serious mental illness."[2] Police were called to the Vang residence 5 times in late 2015, when Nengmy attempted to remove his belongings, but no arrests resulted. Nengmy threatened that "something bad would happen" if Naly continued to request alimony payments.

Hmong gunman kills four white people in Wisconsin - Narrative Collapse

3 hours ago - The shooter's name is Nengmy Vang. The victims are Everest Metro police Detective Jason T. Weiland, 40; Marathon Savings Bank employees ...Information is finally coming out about the perpetrator of a spree killing in a rural, mostly white part of central Wisconsin. The shooter’s name is Nengmy Vang.

The victims are Everest Metro police Detective Jason T. Weiland, 40; Marathon Savings Bank employees Dianne M. Look, 67, and Karen L. Barclay, 62, and attorney Sara H. Quirt Sann, 43.

The media is calling the shooting “domestic violence related.” However, he did not kill his wife. He killed his wife’s white divorce lawyer and three other white people. One of the victims is a police officer. Two of the victims worked at a bank he was feuding with. The bank had filed a $5,789 claim against him.

First he killed the two women at the Marathon Savings Bank. Then he went to a law firm and killed his wife’s divorce lawyer. Then he got into a shootout with police at a third location. Vang was wounded by police and is in the hospital under guard.

This is the second time that a Hmong has gone on a shooting spree in Wisconsin targeting white people. On November 21, 2004, Chai Soua Vang shot eight white males, killing six, with an SKS rifle. The victims were all deer hunting at the time. Most of the victims were shot in the back as they tried to run away. Vang was motivated by racial hatred of white people. During his trial, Vang was remorseless and said the men deserved to die for “disrespecting him.” Vang had been trespassing on private property when the white males asked him to leave.

Notes: The shooter is from a town that is 8% Asian and about 90% white. Much of the local Asian population is Hmong. The HBC Hmong Broadcasting Company confirmed that the shooter is Hmong this afternoon. It looks like police informed all the media of the killer’s identity at this time. However, most Wisconsin media outlets waited another eight hours or more just to start publishing his name. Only the Hmong Broadcasting Company has reported that the shooter was Hmong.

The Hmong were featured in the hit movie Gran Torino. While most East Asians have very low crime rates, Hmong tend to have much higher rates. They are considered to be the indigenous people of Vietnam. There are about 50k Hmong in Wisconsin
