Four people were injured, but a total of 16 people were involved in the incident. After the online post, a group of nine people from Dallas drove to the Allen home to confront seven people there. The situation escalated when the people inside of the home walked out with various weapons, including knives and what is believed to be an airsoft rifle. That display of weapons triggered gunfire from the Dallas group. Four people from the Allen home were injured, with three of the victims going to a local hospital in Allen and the other victim being taken to a hospital in Plano for treatment. The nine people from Dallas have all been detained by police, and one of them has since been arrested. He has been identified as Devonte Wade. (Reuters)  A college student has been charged with double murder and taken to jail, two months after he stabbed a south Florida couple to death and tried to bite the face off one of the victims. Austin Harrouff, 19,  charged Sunday He was charged in the Aug. 15 killings of John Stevens, 59, and Michelle Mishcon, 53, at their home in Tequesta, Fla. He was also charged with the attempted murder of Jeff Fisher, who was stabbed after he heard the couple’s screams and ran to help...toxicology tests to reveal whether Harrouff was under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs like bath salts or flakka, which have caused violent outbursts in the past... father, a dentist, said that at one point, Harrouff’s liver was failing, he had fluid in his lungs and his esophagus was bleeding, .The deputy fired her stun gun at the shirtless man, but it had no effect. “He was exhibiting abnormal levels of strength,” Snyder said in a press conference after the attack...four deputies and the police dog to subdue the attacker... making “guttural sounds and animal noises,” Flakka causes users’ body temperatures to soar to 104 or 105 degrees, causing them to rip off their clothes.                                           Date: January 2, 1949

                                          A chartered DC-3 airliner crashes in January 2, 1949 at Boeing Field, killing 11 Yale University students and three crew and injuring 13 other passengers. The charter was taking the college students back to Connecticut after the holidays, but veers right on takeoff and crashes into a Boeing hanger, bursting into flames. Two Boeing mechanics on duty nearby help rescue survivors. The accident is apparently caused by ice on the wings.
