One online commenter who was condemned suspected the fire was set by a member as a hoax crime, but it turns out it was a mentally ill man with no particular motive for disrupting the mosque after wanting to pray there or damaging a Nike store. Bellevue Police Chief Steve Mylett said Wilson was arrested on suspicion of second degree arson, and on an outstanding warrant for felony first degree malicious mischief in Seattle.
