Quebec Mosque Terrorist Attack Shooting

Quebec Mosque Terrorist Attack Shooting --- ===

January 29, 2017 killed: 6 injured: 19 suspect: arrested, but not charged with terrorism Quebec Mosque Terrorist Attack Shooting   A lone gunman opened fire on the crowd, witnesses say he yelled God is Great in arabic while killing six people and injuring nineteen others. Lone wolf suspect was  Alexandre Bissonnette, 27 a student from Laval University located near the mosque who was known to have recently started supporting right wing leaders Marine Le Pen, Donald Trump, rigth wing white nationalist anti-muslim views. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau immediately called the episode a “terrorist attack on Muslims.”.

Alternative theory: The suspect had only recently started spouting support for French right Marine Le Pen and Donald Trump  far-rightwhite nationalist, and anti-Muslim views denigrated refugees and feminists online. He wore a face mask like a trained terrorist. Were these right wing view only a carefully constructed cover story to cover up a nation-state who sponsored this as a terrorist attack?

By IAN AUSTEN and CRAIG S. SMITHJAN. 30, 2017 ‘Quebec City Has Been Hit by Terrorism’
The Canadian prime minister called a shooting at a cultural center an assault on Muslims, and the Quebec premier said to Muslims in his province, QUEBEC CITY — A man was in custody on Monday after a mass shooting in a mosque in Quebec City that killed six men and wounded eight others, Canadian officials said. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called the episode a “terrorist attack on Muslims.”...The six men killed ranged in age from 39 to 60,... Court officials in Quebec identified the two men arrested as Alexandre Bissonnette, 27, and Mohamed el Khadir, who was said to be in his late 20s or early 30s. It was not immediately clear which man was the suspect and which was the witness.

ALTERNATIVE FACTS: Majority Of Mainstream Media Failed To Report That The Mosque Shooter Yelled ‘ALLAHU AKBAR’ (Screenshots)
Jan 29th, 2017 11:59 pm by Ryan Saavedra
through multiple websites at approximately midnight EST we quickly discovered that most of the mainstream media didn’t mention that the shooter in Quebec yelled ‘Allahu Akbar’. It apparently doesn’t help the narrative that they are trying to push especially given the timing of Trump’s ban on visitors from countries that have strong ties to terrorism.

Those that didn’t report that the shooter yelled ‘Allahu Akbar’ by 1:00 EST include: The Associated Press, CNN, Reuters, ABC, CBS, NBC, The New York Times, and The Washington Post.

Along with The Gateway Pundit, the following are some of the places that did report the shooter yelled ‘Allahu Akbar by 1:00 EST: Fox News, Drudge Report, Breitbart, CBC, and RT.

Below are screenshots of just some of the major media networks that as of 1:00 EST had still not reported that the shooter yelled ‘Allahu Akbar’. Beneath those screenshots are the screenshots of some of the major news sources that were reporting that the shooter yelled ‘Allahu Akbar’.

Quebec City mosque shooting - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quebec_City_mosque_shooting
mass shooting occurred on the evening of January 29, 2017, at the Islamic Cultural Centre of Quebec City (FrenchCentre culturel Islamique de Québec, CCIQ), a mosque in Sainte-Foy, a suburb of Quebec CityQuebecCanada. Six people were killed and seventeen others injured when a lone gunman opened fire just before 8:00 p.m. shortly after the end of evening prayers.[4]
Fifty-three people were reported present at the time of the shooting.[5] [6] Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premier Philippe Couillard called the shooting a terrorist attack, although motives are unclear at this point.[5]

The lone suspect was later identified as Alexandre Bissonnette, a student at the Laval University located near the mosque.[17][20]

Background[edit]

The province of Quebec has received large numbers of Muslim immigrants from former French colonies including Syria and Lebanon, the Maghreb, and Senegal, in addition to substantial re-immigration to Quebec by Muslim citizens of France with family origins in the former French colonies. This has resulted in the largest proportion of Muslims of any Canadian province.[7]
The Islamic Cultural Centre of Quebec City, also known as the Grande Mosquée de Québec, is in the city's Sainte-Foy region in the west end, and is one of several mosques in the city.[8][9] It is close to the Université Laval, which has many international students from French-speaking, Muslim-majority African countries.[10] In June 2016, during Ramadan,[11] it was the target of a hate crime when a pig's head was left outside the mosque.[10] That incident prompted the mosque to install CCTV security cameras.[10]
Quebec City has a low crime rate; in 2015, there were only two homicides in the city.[10]

Shooting[edit]

According to witnesses at the scene, the gunman wearing either a hood or a ski mask entered the mosque shortly after the scheduled 7:30 pm prayers began.[10][8]He began shooting at those who lingered in the mosque after prayer at about 7:55 pm EST, when the first calls to the police were made. [12] [10][13][9] According to one witness, the attacker was "dressed in black", had a "Quebec accent", and shouted "Allahu Akbar" during the shooting.[14][13][15]

Casualties[edit]

In the first press conference held by the Sûreté du Québec, the Quebec provincial police force confirmed that six people were killed and eight were wounded in the shooting, in addition to another thirty-nine people who were not harmed. However, they did not confirm any other details of the attack.[9][15] The University of Quebec Hospital Centre spokeswoman Genevieve Dupuis later said a total of seventeen people were injured in the attack, including five who are in critical condition.[2][3] The dead include two Algerians, a Tunisian, a Moroccan and two born in other African countries.[16]

Suspect[edit]

Two suspects were initially arrested. One of the detained suspects had a Québécois background, while the other had a Moroccan background.[17] The identity of both the suspects were revealed on 30 January.[18][16] Police later said only one of them is considered a suspect; the other was released and is considered a witness.[19]The lone suspect was later identified as Alexandre Bissonnette, a student at the Laval University located near the mosque.[17][20]

Aftermath[edit]

Police created a dragnet and closed the bridge to the Île d'Orléans while searching for the suspects. Two suspects were arrested by police. One of the suspects was arrested at the mosque and the other after a chase that ended near Île d'Orléans.[8][13] Police initially did not rule out the existence of a third shooter, but later said there were only two.[21]
The injured were transported to different hospitals in Quebec City,[10] such as the L'Hôpital de l'Enfant-Jésus (fr) and the Centre hospitalier de l'Université Laval.[22]Police began treating the attack as a terrorist incident at 10:00 pm and activated the SGPCT protocol to hand over control of the investigation to the provincial Integrated National Security Enforcement Team – a joint anti-terrorism task force comprising the Montreal police, the Sûreté du Québec, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.[9][23][10] At 10:40 pm, police declared the situation under control, with the building secured and the occupants evacuated.[13]
Philippe Pichet, the chief of Montreal police, and Maxime Pedneaud-Jobin, the mayor of Gatineau, both indicated their cities would increase security around local mosques.[24] Martin Coiteux, the provincial public security minister, said religious buildings in the province would be protectively surveilled, those in the capital by the Quebec City police.[13]

Government reactions[edit]

Quebec City Mayor Régis Labeaume declared that the city would stand with the victims' families through what he called a "terrible ordeal that defies reason".[24]Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard offered solidarity with the families and friends of the victims, and tweeted, "Quebec categorically rejects this barbaric violence."[13]He also denounced the attack as terrorism and ordered that flags at the National Assembly of Quebec would be flown at half-mast.[13] Labeaume and Couillard, along with Martin Coiteux, the provincial Minister of Public Safety, held a joint press conference and made a joint call for unity.[25] At the conference, Couillard, spoke to Quebec's Muslim population, saying: "We're with you. You are home, you are welcome in your home. We're all Québécois."[9]
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also extended his condolences to the victims and denounced the shooting as a "cowardly attack" and as a "terrorist attack on Muslims in a centre of worship and refuge".[11][13][24][5] Leaders of many countries expressed their condolences to the attack including President of the United StatesDonald Trump who contacted Trudeau and offered assistance.[26]
