1. 1 injured February 4, 2014 Vancouver Public Health Building Shooting 2nd in 2 days At the Center for Community Health at the Department of Veterans Affairs campus, an employee was shot and wounded by a woman suspect. It was the second workplace shooting in two days in Vancouver
2. February 4, 2014 Iranian Georgia Tech Student With Bombs Dies in Explosion Iranian graduate student from Tehran at Georgia Tech Saamer Akhshabi was burned in a explosion inside his apartment, where investigators found what appeared to be a Molotov cocktail incendiary bomb and several plastic bottles filled with gasoline and kerosene. He died of his injuries in March. It was ruled an accident which was not a threat to the community as the FBI did not find any evidence indicating criminal intent, though counterjihad blogs such as Creeping Sharia questioned if the fact that the person was from Iran and had an apartment full of explosive gasoline bombs pointed to an obvious motive.
3. Death of African American physical therapist ruled accidental drug death The Department of Justice is investigating the death of Alfred Wright, an African American physical therapist who disappeared and died under mysterious circumstances in an isolated section of Texas. He was last seen November 7, 2013 with trouble with his pickup truck. His body was found partially clothed in boxer shorts shoes and only one sock, with severe trauma to his neck and head. His body was missing an ear and two front teeth and tongue, and his throat was cut. The trauma was determined to be caused by animal and insect activity, as toxicology determined his body was filled with cocaine and meth, so his death was ruled as accidental due to drug intoxication and there was no evidence of foul play . (cnn)

Michigan man who shot at motorists gets more than 6½ years in prison in 1st of 2 related cases (Fox / Associated Press) PONTIAC, MICH. –  A southeastern Michigan man who opened fire on other motorists in a series of attacks in October 2012 has been sentenced to more than 6½ years in prison in the first of two related cases. Raulie Casteel got a sentence that could last up to 10 years in jail. He had pleaded no contest but mentally ill last year to assault and firearms charges as he was feeling fear and anxiety when he was shooting. Casteel was convicted of terrorism the previous week for a related case

February 4, 2014 Man pleads guilty to killing Hilliard Uber driver The Columbus Dispatch A 42-year-old man Brian Lee Jones pleaded guilty this morning to murder and aggravated robbery in the death of a Hilliard Uber livery driver Paul D. Devitt on Feb. 4. Judge Tim Horton sentenced Jones to life in prison with no chance of parole for 18 years. Jones was living in a hotel room when he was arrested.  February 2014

February 4, 2014 At least 13 killed as taxi bus drives into path of train and crashes in Ukraine's Sumy region "The shuttle bus ignored the traffic lights and the sound signals and headed to the crossing. The train ripped it in two and dragged it for a long distance, 2014 Ukraine train bus collision killed at least 13 people and another 6 were wounded; the bus driver survived.
