(Reuters) Dailymail An express train destined for Schaffhausen near the German border sideswiped a commuter train at a switch in Rafz, 18 miles from Zurich. Cause not determined but in January 2013, two commuter trains collided, injuring 27 people. Prosecutors fined a train driver for jumping a red light and causing the collision. A passenger on the S-bahn train said he believed that his train had departed against a red signal.

(BBC) "there was debris flying everywhere, falling into neighbouring buildings". The fire was later extinguished. It is not known what caused the blaze. In 2012, a fire swept through Dubai's 34-storey Tamweel Tower started reportedly by a cigarette butt thrown into a trash bin.

- Indonesia delays execution of 2 Australian drug smugglers The execution of two Australian drug smugglers on death row in Indonesia has been delayed by up to one month, AFP said, citing the vice president’s office. The execution of Andrew Chan (Chinese) and Myuran Sukumaran,(Indian) "the ringleaders" of the so-called Bali Nine heroin trafficking group, “will be delayed ..." wikipedia: Sukumaran teaches English, computer, graphic design and philosophy classes to prisoners. Sukumaran was instrumental in opening up a computer and art room and also pushed unsuccessfully for an accountancy and law course to be set up. Australians have protested the death sentence as Australia's foreign minister, Julie Bishop, raised the potential for a boycott of Bali as a tourism destination should the executions proceed. - Fire in Dutch apartment block causes injuries, 100 evacuated More than 40 people were injured in an early morning fire at a large apartment building in the eastern Dutch city of Nijmegen, Reuters said. A part of the building’s roof collapsed on Friday and there may be people trapped under the rubble, according to national broadcaster NOS. More than 100 people were evacuated, some by cranes, and many were suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation.

The Houthi movement, a Shiite Muslim militia, had taken over power, which led to the resignation of the president last month. Benomar said the deal was not final, adding that it is an “important breakthrough that paves the way towards a comprehensive agreement.”
