Summary - Edward Snowden not only gave away the PRISM NSA program, but looks a professional spy, talks like a professional spy, and got secrets like exactly which IP sites in China were hacked like a pofessional spy. Not a good guy for US. Oddlly, pro-Iranian 9-11 / Sandy Hook / Boston / everything is a false flag truthers all think Snowden is a hero. PRISM is bad news for terrorists, no evidence it was used to identify anti-Obama republicans like the IRS scandal.
Russia is celebrating him as another great pro-Russian spy
Bottom line, he is on the jihad side against the War Of Terrorism

The ACLU Joins Senator Paul's
Anti-NSA Campaign
Anti-NSA Campaign
By Cliff Kincaid – June 21, 2013
Senator Rand Paul’s alliance with the ACLU, which opposes government surveillance of radical Muslims and other potential terrorists, is being defended by his Senate office. A spokesman told Accuracy in Media that “We will work with anybody that supports the following: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
At a Capitol Hill news conference on June 13, Sen. Paul (R-KY) appeared with Laura Murphy of the American Civil Liberties Union to announce a lawsuit against the NSA over its terrorist surveillance programs. The ACLU had already filed such a suit on June 11.
Murphy said it is Sen. Paul’s intention “to sue the government to stop NSA surveillance of Americans’ communications.”
The ACLU’s Murphy is on record as saying that “far-right extremists” deserve more scrutiny from the FBI, and that in regard to left-wing terrorism, “while several property crimes have been attributed to the Animal Liberation Front and the Earth Liberation Front, neither group ever killed anyone, and the Weather Underground hasn’t existed for at least thirty years…” In fact, two members of the May 19th Communist Organization, a spin-off from the Weather Underground, are still on the FBI’s list of fugitive terrorists.

.Haaretz " has several articles on the Israeli connection." VT
Haaretz (but not neocon The Jerusalem Post) has several articles on the Israeli connection. On the PRISM program that collects data from companies like Google, Facebook, Microsoft and AOL:
The data, gathered by the U.S. National Security Agency’s PRISM surveillance program, came from email accounts, Internet chats, browsing and search histories. The aim was to amass a database through which the NSA could learn whether terror suspects had been in contact with people in the United States. In contrast to similar cases revealed in the past, the program involved thorough and continuous collection of data, even when no particular person or communications had aroused the authorities’ suspicions. …Behind the scenes are a host of Israeli companies that have almost certainly taken part in the program as suppliers of technology. They may yet find themselves in the maelstrom, warns Nimrod Kozlovski, head of Tel Aviv University’s program for cyber studies.
.James Bamford a leaker or a whistleblower? JAMES BAMFORD: Well, he's definitely a whistleblower.
James Bamford in his April 2012 article forWired, someone with close connections to Israel secretly gave software designed by NSA to Israel: “the advanced analytical and data mining software the NSA had developed for both its worldwide and international eavesdropping operations was secretly passed to Israel by a mid-level employee, apparently with close connections to the country.” Bamford’s source describes him as “a very strong supporter of Israel.”

NSA: Behind the Edward Snowden “smoke screen”
By Dr. James Fetzer and PressTV
“The threats under surveillance by the NSA are not posed by domestic terrorists who would undermine national security but by veterans, patriots, constitutionalists, Ron Paul supporters, 9/11 Truthers and others who pose a threat to the imposition of martial law by the national security state”–Jim Fetzer
The head of the NSA before Congress
The real purpose of this massive surveillance is that all that stands behind the DHS and the imposition of a fascistic military/police state is 100,000,000 armed Americans. This sweeping and detailed spy-op is intended to identify which of those would be willing to stand up and place their lives in jeopardy for the sake of freedom and democracy. At last count, the number was 8,000,000. This is serious stuff and the DHS isn’t taking any chances.
Most Americans and others worldwide naively assume that the National Security Agency (NSA) scandal represents an excess of zeal in attempting to track down domestic terrorists who want to attack targets in America. What they do not appreciate is:
(a) that terrorist activity in the US is virtually non-existent, as a recent report by a subcommittee of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Intelligence has officially confirmed;
(b) that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been faking attacks (such as Sandy Hook and the Boston bombing) to create the false impression that the threat is real, since otherwise no one would believe it; where
(c) the real purpose of this massive surveillance is to identify Americans who would have the courage and resolution to oppose the complete transformation of America into a fascistic military/police state, which is in the offing.
.Jihad
http://weaselzippers.us/2013/06/10/university-of-california-irvine-professor-nsa-leaker-fits-into-a-modernistliberal-reading-of-jihad/
That Snowden has waged his jihad with the pen and tongue rather than the proverbial sword fits quite nicely into the modernist/liberal reading of jihad, and puts him squarely in the camp of the avant-garde of the Arab Spring, who refused to participate in a system they had come to realise was irredeemably broken. As he put it: “The government has granted itself power it is not entitled to. There is no public oversight. The result is people like myself have the latitude to go further than they are allowed to.”
Here’s who wrote this drivel:
Mark LeVine is professor of Middle Eastern history at UC Irvine, and distinguished visiting professor at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Lund University in Sweden and the author of the forthcoming book about the revolutions in the Arab world, The Five Year Old Who Toppled a Pharao

.Russia
Cliff Kincaid:
the Russian disinformation and propaganda apparatus is working overtime.
In a story on how the Moscow media have embraced Edward Snowden, the New York Timesreports:
On programs that were hastily arranged and broadcast on the two largest federal channels, he [Snowden] was compared to the dissident Andrei Sakharov, to Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, and to Max Otto von Stirlitz, a dashing fictional double agent from Soviet television. He was described as "the man who declared war on Big Brother and got stuck in the transit zone," and as "a soldier in the information war, who fights, of course, on the side of Russia, or maybe the side of China."
The Times also reports that, on one program:
Others speakers, like Veronika Krasheninnikova, urged Russians to rally around Mr. Snowden, noting the 60th anniversary this month of the execution of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, who were convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage.
The Rosenbergs were guilty as hell of being Soviet spies and were executed by the U.S.
Don't forget that Russian President Vladimir Putin, a former Soviet KGB officer, had praised the Russian spies -- the Rosenbergs -- who stole U.S. atom bomb secrets. Putin said, "You know, when the States already had nuclear weapons and the Soviet Union was only building them, we got a significant amount of information through Soviet foreign intelligence channels."
The Times story goes on:
One program featured a panel of legendary counterintelligence agents, including a man famous for meeting with Lee Harvey Oswald a few months before the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Their discussion often turned to the subject of American spying on Russia. Mr. Korotchenko, one of the guests, made the case that most of the major American consulting firms in Moscow were actually "structural units of American intelligence," including the National Security Agency.
Lee Harvey Oswald was a Marxist and Soviet/Cuban agent who assassinated JFK.
