  2. A childcare worker in London is reportedly stabbed by three Muslim women ranting about Allah and the Koran. It is reported to terrorism police who are "not investigating at this time" 
  3. Human evolution fossils The oldest fossil records of Homo sapiens are discovered in Jebel Irhoud, Morocco, dated at between 300,000 and 350,000 years old. The earliest Homo sapiens fossils had been dated as 200,000 years old. (Washington Post)

  2. A childcare worker in London is reportedly stabbed by three Muslim women while on her way to work, suffering non life threatening injuries. (BBC News)  Nursery manager Karrien Stevens said the woman told her she was slashed by three Asian women dressed in black. Counter-terrorism police have been informed but are not treating it as a terrorist incident. ...The attackers slashed her arm from the wrist upwards before running off down the street, she said, and shouted out "something to do with Allah and the Koran". "The Met's Counter Terrorism Command has been made aware of the incident but is not investigating at this time."

 June 5, 2017  Police investigating arson at kosher restaurant motive unclear Jewish Chronicle  The ground floor of the eatery was badly damaged  A kosher restaurant was set on fire last night, in what police are treating as an “arson attack”.  JS Kosher Restaurant, in Prestwich, north Manchester, was set ablaze in the early hours of Tuesday morning. There are no reports of anyone injured in the fire.  It is not yet clear what the motivation was for the attack


 June 6, 2017 update May 27, 2017  Teen Daughter of University of Surrey’s Jewish Chaplain Beaten, Left Bleeding for Hours in Park algemeiner   The teenage daughter of the University of Surrey’s Jewish chaplain was allegedly beaten by an antisemitic gang and left bleeding in a park for two hours late last month after police failed to respond to an emergency call.  Hannah Goldberg — whose father is prominent community member Alexander Goldberg — was reportedly sitting in a public park with two friends on the Shabbat of May 27, when a group of five men approached them with comments like, “Hitler should have killed all you Jews when he had the chance” and “You should have all been gassed.”

May 27, 2017 June 6, 2017 update  Teen Daughter of University of Surrey’s Jewish Chaplain Beaten, Left Bleeding for Hours in Park algemeiner   The teenage daughter of the University of Surrey’s Jewish chaplain was allegedly beaten by an antisemitic gang and left bleeding in a park for two hours late last month after police failed to respond to an emergency call.  Hannah Goldberg — whose father is prominent community member Alexander Goldberg — was reportedly sitting in a public park with two friends on the Shabbat of May 27, when a group of five men approached them with comments like, “Hitler should have killed all you Jews when he had the chance” and “You should have all been gassed.”   June 5, 2017 Father’s shock as 16-year-old daughter kicked and punched by antisemitic gang  As well as being physically assaulted, the teenager was told that 'Hitler should have killed all you Jews when he had the chance… you should have all been gassed'  The father of a Jewish teenager who was racially and physically abused in a park has spoken of his “concern” at the attack and how, despite a 999 call, police failed to attend the scene.
