Murder of Artist Antonio Ramos Antonio Ramos was shot dead in Oakland while he worked on an anti-violence, peace, mural in the city. He was Ramos was among 60 artists who worked on the Oakland Super Heroes mural. Marquise Holloway, 20, of Oakland, was charged with murder in the Sept. 29 killing of Antonio Ramos, 27. He had no apparent motive as Ramos was working on an anti-violence mural when a passerby provoked an argument which turned into an apparent random shooting. The suspect killed his target and ran away. Officials say there is nothing to indicate the subject matter in the mural, called the Oakland Super Heroes Mural Project, sparked the violence
