The U.S. Department of Defense also confirms that Russia added S-400 surface-to-air missiles to its Syrian stockpile and armed its military aircraft with air-to-air missiles. According to Military Times, "APentagon spokesman expressed concern" these moves indicate Russia's commitment to aiding the embattled Assad regime as opposed to combating ISIL. PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: SWAT RESPONDING TO SITUATION SAID TO NOT BE RELATED TO SAN BERNARDINO SHOOTINGS The tragedy that took place with the mass shootings in San Bernardino, California, earlier today may have just been made worse. Reports are now coming out that there is a SWAT situation taking place about 50 miles away in Pasadena, California. Many reports are saying that a perimeter is being set up near a mall and schools and that it is related to the shootings earlier in the day. There are many more reports coming in and saying that the news of the two situations being connected are unfounded. A lot of news outlets are saying that the SWAT situation in Pasadena is not related to the San Bernardino shooting situation. Gawker reported that at least 12 people are dead and at least another 20 people were injured in the shootings at an office complex in San Bernardino. It was reported that the three suspected shooters had escaped in a black SUV and were “on the loose.” About an hour after the shooting was originally reported, reports of a SWAT situation started being reported about 50 miles away in Pasadena.

The shooters targeted a party for employees of the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, held in an auditorium with at least 100 people, before fleeing in an black Ford Expedition SUV.  Two perpetrators, Syed Rizwan Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, dropped off their baby with grandparents before the attack, and were killed by police after gunfire was exchanged with the occupants of the SUV. Farook had attended the party as a county employee. . Farook was a 28-year-old observant Muslim man born in Illinois to parents, who had migrated to the U.S. from Pakistan. He had returned from a trip to Saudi Arabia newly married to Tashfeen Malik who he had contacted on an online dating site, as some called them an Islamist Bonnie and Clyde criminal couple. It was the second-deadliest mass shooting in California's history, after the 1984 San Ysidro McDonald's massacre, and the deadliest in America since the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Although most media and authorities were unwilling to state any terrorist motive, and only state that terrorism was not being ruled out, candidate Carly Fiorina was willing to speculate that the San Bernardino shooting 'looks like Islamic terrorism'
