  7. 1 killed 1 charged  November 30, 2014 St Louis Bosnians Shaken By Fatal Hammer Attack By Urban Youths  Bosnian Zemir Begic, 32, was beaten with hammers by a group of minority teens in the St Louis area who were attacking his car then turned to him. Law enforcement found no evidence that the attack was racially motivated, while his fiancee believed he was killed after a conflict with an ex-family friend who set up the attack.  Murder charges were filed against 17-year-old Robert Mitchell. Only two days later another woman was attacked, and taunts led to that attacking being treated as a hate crime.

Salahadyn pleaded guilty in October to a robbery charge related to the case of the stolen Stradivarius violin. The valuable instrument was stolen from concertmaster Frank Almond following a concert in Wauwatosa this past January. Salahadyn was accused of tasing Almond and then grabbing the valuable violin as Almond fell to the ground. The other man charged in the case, Universal Allah, was sentenced in July to three-and-a-half years in prison and three-and-a-half years of extended supervision for his role in the theft. The 12-year-old had an Airsoft replica handgun in his waistband. The police rolled up onto the gazebo at which Tamir was siting in. The passenger side officer stepped out of the car before it stopped and immediately fired two shots at Tamir. He died the next day despite surgery in a local hospital. [32] According to Deputy Chief Ed Tomba, the boy did not point the gun or make any verbal threats before he was shot.[33] The officers involved have been criticized for not giving Rice first aid after the shooting.[34]
                        2014-11-21Gurley, Akai (28)New York (New York City)Akai Gurley was shot and killed while in the seventh floor of an unlit stairwell at the Louis H. Pink Houses, a housing project in Brooklyn. According to police, the shooting was believed to be the result of an accidental discharge of a gun caused by NYPD officer Peter Liang, who had 18 months of experience on the job at the time of the shooting. Liang was with a partner and had his flashlight and service firearm out "for safety reasons," and the partner did not draw his weapon, according to New York Police Commissioner William Bratton. The shooting is being investigated by police internal affairs.[35]
