1 killed 1 suspect convicted, black suspect white victim June 21, 2015  Laid Off Rodney Jackson Kills Jason Yanko Workplace Violence In Houston, Texas,  Jason Yanko notified one of his employees, 49-year-old Rodney Jackson, that Jackson was being laid off from Val-Fit Inc., a steel fitting and flange distribution company Jackson then retrieved a gun from his vehicle and tried to re-enter the building when Yanko stopped him at the door. In an act of excessive violence, Jackson shot Yanko 29 times, and Yanko died at the scene, still holding Jackson's termination papers in his hand Week of August 25, 2016  a jury sentenced him to life in prison.
