December 18, 2013 Driver rolls over onto freeway causes bizarre collisions A Malibu driven by 24 year-old Christopher K. Wittman of Tukwila after drinking drank at least six shots of hard liquor blew through a stop sign down a dead-end street and kept going, vaulting over a ravine onto Highway 509 where it landed upside down on a Mazda driven by a husband and wife, and then hit by three other cars including a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer, a 2011 Isuzu box truck and a 2004 Hummer H2 which all suffered extensive damage. The woman from Marysville died of her injuries. Wittman ran away from the scene after the crash, was held on held on $200,000 bail and pled not guilty to vehicular assault charges in January 2014. He told officers he was returning to his nearby home from a 21st birthday party and had been cut off trying to get onto SR 509.
