Hummer Driver Admits Phone Distraction Rear End Crash --- ===

September 7, 2018 Hummer Driver Admits Phone Distraction Rear End Crash on Hwy. 14 in Claremont MN,  a Hummer driven by Tanner R. Kruckeberg rear-ended a car stopped for a left turn driven by Rachel Harberts, 43, of Dodge Center, Minn. The crash killed 8-year-old daughter, Emerson Harberts in a booster seat in the back seat, and badly injured her 12-year-old son, Jaxon Harbert. The mother was taken off life support and died 8 days later. (1)   Kruckeberg told authorities he was looking down at the console to put away his phone, and when he looked up he rear-ended the other car, according to a search warrant. (2) Kruckeberg has not been charged in connection with the crash. (3)  In 8 years of driving, Kruckeberg has 10 speeding violations on his record as fast as 90 miles per hour, has had is license suspended and cited for driving with suspended license, and texting while driving. (4) (5)
