March 12, 2018 Murder of Iraqi Ahmed Muafaq Abdulhu Al Naddf in Minnesota Ahmed Muafaq Abdulhu Al Naddf, 40, fled violence in Iraq immigrated to the U.S. in 2014 with his wife and their two children. Sao Yim Jr. was sure that someone had just hit his car that he parked outside, police say. Yim Jr. was smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol with three other friends in his girlfriend’s apartment the man he suspected of hitting his car parked in a nearby lot and approached the vehicle. He and his companions confronted 40-year-old Ahmed Muafaq Abdulhu Al Naddf. The two sides began to argue, police say, and that’s when Yim Jr. brandished a semi-automatic handgun family of Muafaq Abdulhu Al Naddf believed he was working in his garage at the time of the murder. He was pronounced dead at 9:15 p.m. after being shot on a city sidewalk. When Muafaq Abdulhu Al Naddf was lying on the ground dying, the suspects went through his pockets before fleeing the scene

Eric Tyler Lee, 25, Sao Yim Jr., 24, Traequan Bamlounghong, 23 and Deante Stanifer, 24, are all facing second-degree murder charges.
Stanifer’s arrest was announced Tuesday afternoon after the other three had already been taken into custody.
He said the family of Muafaq Abdulhu Al Naddf believed he was working in his garage at the time of the murder. He was pronounced dead at 9:15 p.m. after being shot on a city sidewalk.
Additionally, Sherwin said that when Muafaq Abdulhu Al Naddf was lying on the ground dying, the suspects went through his pockets before fleeing the scene.
