May 29, 2019 was injured this morning when she was stabbed multiple times by an assailant in a cafeteria at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys. Rochester police were called around 7 a.m. on a report of a man with a knife in an employee cafeteria attempting to stab people, Police Lt. Mike Sadauskis said. Preliminary reports indicate that a 57-year-old man stabbed a woman four times, Sadauskis said. 57-year-old Augustino Nasona of Rochester is in custody at the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center. He’s facing an attempted first-degree murder charge but may face additional counts. Police say the victim is Nasona’s wife, but they’ve been estranged for about a year. Both are Morrison Healthcare employees, Mayo Clinic’s food service vendor.
