1 killed 2 injured May 5, 2014 Winnipeg Bar Shooting Kills Filipino College Student In Winnepeg, Canada Paclipan was the only fatality among the three people who were shot outside the Opera Ultralounge bar in Winnipeg, Canada. 23-year-old Rustom Vito Paclipan was laid to rest June 7, 2014 at his hometown in Cebu, Philippines. Paclipan was about to received his diploma as an aircraft maintenance engineering student at Red River College.
1 assaulted by 3 men May 3, 2014 Police: Rhode Island College student raped at off-campus party PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A Rhode Island College student told Providence police she was sexually assaulted by three men at a party on Oakland Avenue in the city’s Elmhurst neighborhood early Saturday morning. The 20-year-old woman said she was at a party on first floor of the house when 21-year-old suspect Quincy Ambe pulled her into a bedroom and pinned her down on a bed, according to an incident report. The woman said two other men then entered the room and all three of them began to rape her. She said she told them to stop and they “proceeded to turn the music up that was playing in the apartment,” according to the report. casualties: 4 total, 1 dead, 3 shot, 3 arrested Sunday April 20, 2014 MN State University Ballroom Sudan Student Event Shooting One killed at Kato Ballroom in Mankato Minnesota at event for South Sudanese group sponsored by Minnesota State University. The victim was 22-year-old Poth Accouth of Nebraska whodied from a gunshot wound to the neck. He was shot outside the Kato Ballroom after an event for a Sudanese student group from Minnesota State University. Accouth was to participate in a weekend basketball tournament held at the school. A 21-year-old was arrested for carrying a gun without a permit, and two others were arrested for disorderly conduct.
1 killed 1 arrested December 30, 2013 Backpage Craigslist Murder Justin Early Ohio College Student John R. Fox of Kent Ohio was sentenced to life Nov 3, 2014 in prison for choking college student 22 year old Justin Early in his home where the body was found after the victim went missing. Fox put out an ad and was under the impression he would be paid $200 for sex. He is the brother of Joseph Fox who was convicted of murder of their mother in 2012. Met John R. Fox on December 29, via the classifieds section of Backpage.com, posted a similar ad on Craigslist soliciting same day. Police confirmed that Fox killed Justin and hid his body in a closet, wrapped in a comforter, for 3 weeks. Found body and car Jan 17 at Fox home.

December 3, 2013 Teacher Yee Tak Sharon Kui Flees To Hong Kong After Abuse Allegations Maryland teacher Yee Tak Sharon Kui was believed to have fled to Hong Kong after allegations of sexual assault. Parents of an autistic boy allege that while the parents were at victim's parents were at the Washington DC International Christian Church, where the boy's father is a minister.she sent text messages and visited the boy and sexually assaulted him. The victim told his parents on November 10, and the teacher was fired on November 11.
St Thomas Students Hit And Run By Mazda in St Paul Sunday November 24, 2013 At 2 a.am, two University of St. Thomas students were hit by a car as they left a cab. Rebekka L. Peterson and Nicholas Bergeland of Wayzata were listed in critical condition. Police were called when a 2013 Mazda 3 was found with damage matching parts found at the crime scene. A 40 year old St Paul woman Latocha Thomas was arrested. She had been cited five times for failing to carry proof of insurance and once failing to stop at a stop sign. It was the third recent hit-and-run in which the driver has not been caught, including Therese "Tracy" Klotz, 53 who died after being struck by a Lexus.

Witnesses saw him walking on the street with he got into an argument with a passing car. Random Stabbing Kills Professor after Sounders soccer game September 14, 2013 After a Seattle Sounders soccer game, suspect Donnell Jackson was arrested after he stabbed english professor Troy Wolff to death as he defended his partner Kristin Ito who was also injured. Wolff was killed as the suspect dropped the knife and was taken into custody with no further incident. (Off campus "random" killing of professor. Or was it random?)
Two Japanese Stabbed, One Killed in Turkey Septemer 9, 2013 In Turkey two Japanese college student tourists were attacked by assailants with knives who stabbed them, killing Mai Kurihara, 22 and sending the other to the hospital. No motive was given. The US embassy had been attacked in February, and another American woman was beaten to death in January by a man who later fought with Islamist Syrian rebels.
September 6, 2013 Charlie Christopher Bates USF Terrorist Killed in Shootout 24-year-old Charlie Christopher Bates sexually assaulted four University of South Florida students. He terrorized a large group of partygoers, forcing them into a bedroom at gunpoint and threatening to shoot them. He fled one woman after she started reading bible passages, and also fled a another woman after she started praying. During the final police chase, Bates shot at the officers through the rear and driver’s side window of the stolen car. He died in a shootout at 12:30 p.m. ending a massive, 14-hour manhunt.
September 4, 2013 Wednesday Steven Emmanuel Lewis was sentenced to 24 years for the August 10, 2012 Murder of Aung Thu Bo over Craiglist iphone Bo was a Hamline University computer science student who was "accidentally" shot to death by Steven Emmanuel Lewis as the gun went off in his hands as he robbed Bo and his girlfriend after luring them with a Craigslist ad for a cellphone.
August 16, 2013 in Duncan Oklahoma, Chris Lane, a baseball player visiting as a student from Australia was shot while jogging in an upper income neighborhood. He was spotted and followed by 1 white and 2 black youths associated with the Crips gang in a car and Luna shot and killed him in the back with a .22 caliber revolver. Police found them hiding after a parent complained that they had threatened his son. Their stated motive was they they were bored and had nothing better to do.

Officials believe the bomb targeted police, but Pam Geller believes the teachers themselves were also targeted by Islamist terrorism.- June 1, 2013 Seattle high school teen Molly Conley was killed in a random drive by shooting in Lake Stevens. On June 29, Erick Nathan Walker was arrested for the murder. He is a middle class technical college-trained African American Boeing worker from Everett suburb of Marysville. His facebook page shows off a large collection of guns. His interests indicate no affinities or connections to any terrorist movement, no record of criminal history or mental issues.

Saturday March 30, 2013 19 year old star college athlete Jacob Valdiviezo was shot in San Franciso's Mission District at 3 a.m. by a man who got out of his car and asked if he was in a gang. He died in the hospital.
Murder of Anthony Liddell Coastal Carolina University student February 27, 2013 Just outside a 2,000 student residence 2 miles from Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina, sophomore Anthony Liddell died after he was shot in 3 times in the parking lot, as the gunman fled. The Horry County Grand Jury indicted Marquis Spencer McDonald, 20, and Stephon Mclain, Jr., 22, both of Conway for the shooting. McDonald surrendered to authorities and is not a CCU student. Horry County Solicitor Jimmy Richardson said the shooting was not random. When McDonald exited a vehicle to meet with Liddell in a pre-arranged meeting, he had a short conversation before shooting Liddell three times.

January 21, 2013 Savannah State University College student Rebecca Foley, 21, was shot and killed while driving her red Volkswagen New Beetle near her Savannah, Ga. apartment on Jan. 21, 2013. The case remains unsolved. The case was front-page news in Savannah, and Foley's death was highlighted in an NBC News investigation of gun deaths across the country. She was found slumped over her steering wheel, dead from a single bullet that left a hole in the rear window, and her family assumed she might have been the victim of mistaken identity, a gang shootout, or a robbery gone wrong.

- May 30, 2012 Assasination of Kayla Ferrante Star Oklahoma Student In Tulsa Oklahoma, Kayla Ferrante was a star student who was shot in the back with an AK-47 while riding in a car with her boyfriend. entered the car through the license plate, hitting her in the back. The gunshot passed through her chest before exiting her body through the front windshield. Police arrested 24-year-old Edwin Jermaine Daniels for a series of home invasion robberies where he confessed to the shooting. Police did not believe the shooting was accidental, but accepted the suspect's cover story that the car was mistaken for one with rival gang members, and they were not targeting her because she was a high-achieving student.
