This pope was supposed to be woke. Maybe he is, compared to his peers, but from where I’m sitting he’s in a coma, fecklessly leading a morally bankrupt and dying institution. Time to pull the plug people. (And before I get smacked around for being anti-catholic, I was raised catholic. My best friend was violently and horribly sexually abused by our priest at the age of nine, and I will not abide by the church’s gross hypocrisy).

Odd to me that the same people who argue fervently for the use of mass quantities of pesticide on food are the same people that harsh on folks with gender identification issues.
Maybe the adaptogens and endocrine-disruptors being dumped on our food by the ton may be something to consider.

That's right, we can't choose our genders. If we could, then gender dysphoria would be addressed by choosing a gender that matches our body. Just about everyone who transitions has probably wished for / tried that approach before concluding that... we can't choose our gender.

LOL, he might be right, but that doesn't mean their gender matches their morphology. So let them change their morphology to match what their brain tells them is their gender.
We know that phenotype doesn't necessarily match the geneotype (or that geneotype has only two values). And as the brain develops, there are sexual dimorphisms that develop. If gender is an outlook based on the brains reactions (note the brain is the largest sex organ) then "gender" has more to do with the wiring of the brain than morphology. And, for now, I won't get into the spiritual aspects of potentiality of the brain. This will hopefully get the reader to understand there are at least 4 levels to defining "gender" that only match due to a complex of chemical reactions over a long and complex development cycle that can be disturbed by any number of environmental factors.
Now if you want to take medical or psychological advise from celibate old white males that walk around in dresses and don't know much about their own religion much less human physiology or brain chemistry, then go ahead. But don't think that gives you the right to judge others or impose your will on them. We really need to stop allowing politicians and clerics to practice medicine by proxy.
