1. aug 16 stabbing Woman jailed in Jefferson Park stabbing Ft Collins Colorado The Coloradoan One woman is in jail and another is hospitalized following an early-morning stabbing in Fort Collins' troubled Jefferson Street Park. Jesse Clay Burton, 28, is being held without bond at the Larimer County jail after police say she stabbed another woman in the chest during an argument shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday. Jefferson Street Park has been ground zero for issues related to criminality among transients in Old Town Fort Collins.

August 16, 2016 Pam Hupp charged with murder of man lured to her home O'Fallon police received an initial call for help at 12:10 p.m. A second 911 call was made a short time later from Hupp. When officers arrived at the O'Fallon home on Little Brave Drive, Hupp told them that a man approached her in the driveway and followed her into her home Pam Hupp charged with murder one week after fatal shooting [man lured] inside her home fox2now.com -O'FALLON, MO (KTVI) - The woman who shot and killed a man in her O'Fallon, MO home last week has been formally charged. e investigation revealed that Hupp had sought out Gumpenberger and brought him back to her home on the day of the shooting. Gumpenberger had $900 and a handwritten note in his pockets at the time of his death. The note listed instructions to kidnap Hupp, get "Russ' money," and then kill Hupp. Investigators believe Hupp placed those items on Gumpenberger after his death.... The investigation also revealed that on August 10, 2016, an O'Fallon woman was approached by another woman in an SUV claiming to be a Dateline NBC producer...later was able to identify the woman in the SUV as Pamela Hupp... Pam Hupp was a central figure in a highly publicized Betsey Faria murder trial...evidence involved $150,000 in life insurance proceeds, signed over into Hupp’s name days before Betsy’s murder. Hupp was never named as a suspect...

August 16, 2016 Austria Train Mentally Ill Man Stabbing Teenager Spree An unidentified man with mental illness but no connection to immigration or terrorism stabbed two teens on a train in Western Austria. usa today: "apparently deranged suspect, a 60-year-old German national, was arrested, Austria's APA news agency reported. He fought police officers trying to arrest him and was pepper-sprayed, it said....suspect was assumed to be mentally confused and that “at this point there is no knowledge” that the attack was a copycat of a knife and flammable liquid attack on a Swiss train Saturday that left the attacker and one other person dead." The man was not identified, nor his ethnic or religious identities. There was no connection with other recent attacks on civilians in trains or malls by migrants or persons from ethnic groups with muslim heritage or religion
