May 23, 2014 Elliot Rodger UC Santa Barbara Shooting "Virgin Killer" 9:30 pm Friday night near UC Santa Barbara 7 people dead including killer, 7 hospitalized when Elliot Rodgers shot at crowds from his BMW trading shots with police for 10 minutes. He was found with 4 handguns with 400 rounds of ammunition. He first stabbed 3 men his Chinese roommates and a visitor at a house before his cross-town drive-by killing spree targeting a sorority, deli, gunfights with deputies and church service often driving on the wrong side of the road. His of half-Chinese as a his mother is Malaysian Chinese Li Chin. His father is Peter Rodger who was an assistant director for The Hunger Games movie, and his stepmother is from the Arab/Muslim nation of Morocco.
April 10, 2014 Man High On Paint Fumes Trashes Arapahoe Kia Dealership In Denver area Arapahoe, Joshua Jerrod Lopez, 22 was hospitalized after sideswiping a a police car and then ran down a power pole, rolling several times and landing on cars in a Kia dealership lot, and damaging 20 other vehicles with flying debris. Lopez stopped in the middle of the road, and when a policeman approached, the tried to assault the officer and took off. He was believed to be high on paint fumes.

April 10, 2014 California FedEx Truck Hits School Charter Bus In Orland, north of Sacramento California, FedEx semi-trailer truck on Interstate 5 crossed the grassy median. It hit another car and rammed into a charter bus carrying high school students visiting a Humboldt State College preview from Los Angeles. Both vehicles burst into flames, and both drivers were killed. 10 were killed and 36 or 37 were injured. No cause or motive for the crash was revealed, though in 2013 Robert Dellinger deliberately drove his car across the median of a New Hampshire highway, killing 2 when it sheared off the top of another car.
April 2, 2014 2014 Fort Hood Shooting Suspect Ivan Lopez Four dead, 14 injured at Fort Hood after suspect Ivan Lopez attacked other soldiers at the Army base. The motive was unclear, but the initial assessment is the incident is not terror-related according to officials and an analyst at Stratfor. The suspect was married with a wife and children, and was being evaluated for post-traumatic stress disorder. Around 4:30 p.m. at a medical support building, Specialist Lopez walked in then drove a vehicle and fired shots from the vehicle with a .45-caliber Smith & Wesson semiautomatic pistol. He got out of the vehicle, walked into another building and opened fire again, and then confronted a female military police officer. He put his hands up, then reached under his jacket. As the female officer drew her weapon Lopez put his weapon to his head and fired. He purchased his gun legally from the same shop as Major Hasan. Lopez had served for 4 months in Iraq and also in Egypt and was originally from Puerto Rico.

December 7, 2013 Former Exec Robert Dellinger Kills Couple Crossing NH Median in Suicide Attempt Former Fortune 500 executive Robert Dellinger told police he was only trying to kill himself when he drove his pickup truck across the grassy median of a highway and slammed into an SUV. It went airborne and sheared off the top of the other car, killing an expectant couple in connection with the crash, which killed 29-year-old Jason Timmons, 24-year-old Amanda Murphy, who was eight months pregnant and their unborn child, all from Vermont. Dellinger is charged with reckless manslaughter. Dellinger argued with his wife over his medications, left the house and began to drive around, growing despondent.
March 24, 2014 Norfolk, VA: Truck Driver Shoots Sailor on Docked Navy Destroyer A civilian took a gun from a guard and fatally shot a sailor on a docked destroyer USS Mahan . He was then killed himself by security guards. He had entered the base on a tractor-trailer with a transportation worker's credential. No motive was established for the attack.

The suspect crashed into into several cars, injuring two before fleeing around a building, and shooting at officers, when he was killed by return fire. February 16, 2014 Ketut Pujayasa Cruise Ship Attacker While on a special nude cruise, Indonesian cruise ship worker Ketut Pujayas is accused of raping and trying to throw a passenger overboard. His cover story was that he was enraged because had called an insult by the woman. The man was fired and turned over the the FBI in Florida
October 3, 2013 Miriam Carey. an unarmed woman in a black Infiniti coupe with CT plates was shot after she tried to breech barriers at the White house, then led police on a chase towards the Capitol campus. She rammed a squad care one block from the Capitol, then continued where she shot one block past the campus with a child in the back seat. Authorities have ruled out terrorism and believe it is an isolated incident, and definitely not a dry run for a real armed attack.

Suspect: 107 year old Monroe Isadore pointed a gun at two other people in the residence who were whisked away by arriving police. WhnSWAT team. Isadore then barricaded himself in a room and shot through the door at police who tried to get in. When a SWAT negotiation team was called, a camera was inserted to verified he had a handgun. 2 killed suspect suicide Thursday June 28, 2012 Fort Bragg Commander Shooting Lt. Col. Roy L. Tisdale, commander of the 525th Brigade Special Troops Battalion at Fort Bragg was giving a safety briefing on upcoming July 4th holiday when Army Spc. Ricky G. Elder suddenly broke out of formation and pulled a handgun to shoot the battalion commander, and injured another soldier before shooting himself. Tisdale was he was a highly-decorated veteran of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Elder wrote on Facebook he had been diagnosed with dementia. He had been charged with stealing a $1,700 tool kit was pending court-martial. In his hometown, he was to sentenced for a 2010 incident in which a woman was punched in the face at a local sports bar. Elder died July 1. Motive is unknown though in the same week, the Department of Defense and the FBI were investigating possible terrorists within the military.

June 28, 1914. Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand In Sarajevo, Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, heir presumptive to the Austro-Hungarian throne, and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg, were shot dead by shot dead by Gavrilo Princip, one of a group of six Bosnian Serb assassins coordinated by Danilo Ilić. The political objective of the assassination was to break off Austria-Hungary's south-Slav provinces so they could be combined into a Greater Serbia. The Chief of Serbian Military Intelligence supported the conspirators by supplying bombs, pistols, training, and giving them access to safe-houses and agents used for infiltration into Austria-Hungary. All of the assassins attempted unsuccessfully to commit suicide to hide connections to a conspiracy based in Serbia. Discovery of the conspiracy led to threats of war against Serbia which led to World War I between Serbia's allies which included Russia, France, England and Austria-Hungary which included Germany. The United States ultimately sided with England, France and the Serbians who had supported the original covert terrorist attack against the Archduke.
