    Assault on The Ten Commandments

    In June 2017, Reed drove a car into the new Ten Commandments statue at the Arkansas State Capitol​building one day after it was put up. The statue was destroyed.[1]​ Reed streamed his attack on Facebook Live, screaming "freedom!" He also created a GoFundMe​ to pay for his car.



    On Facebook​, Reed referred to himself as a terrorist and made threats to Barack Obama​ and President Donald Trump​ as well. He recorded a video manifesto before his attack where he discusses his religious views. He calls his philosophy the "white plans" which indicates he might be a white supremacist. [5]​



    Reed had previously driven a car into Oklahoma's Ten Commandments statue 3 years earlier. That privately funded, granite monument weighed 6,000 pounds (2,721 kilograms) and was also destroyed.[1]​



    Reed faces charges of defacing objects of public respect, trespassing on Capitol grounds and first-degree criminal mischief.

Her father disputed suicide-by-cop theories purporting that Charleena Lyles tried to get officers to kill her. He dismissed speculation that his daughter sought to commit suicide by cop for some political reason.. "My daughter loved life," he said. "There's no way she would have called police over to kill her." One officer   he did not carry his Taser during his shift June 18, when the shooting occurred, according to interview transcripts released by Seattle police. Protested by black lives crowds. The Seattle Police Department's Force Review Board has found the fatal shooting ofCharleena Lyles by two officers in June to be reasonable [1]  A review concluded taser, batons and pepper spray weren’t feasible alternatives when attacked with one or two knives before they opened fire. No evidence of a burglary was ever found.[2] In January 2019,  a Washington state judge dismissed claims in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of Charleena Lyles who weighed less than 100 pounds and had mental health issues. The family’s attorney plans to appeal the ruling.[8]
