Brown Arrested For Killing Deputy  Floyd Brown, 39 man who allegedly shot and killed a deputy Thursday at an Illinois hotel was arrested by Illinois State Police about 5 p.m. after a standoff. McHenry County Sheriff's Deputy Jacob Keltner died about 3:30 p.m.  At the hotel police cracked open the door they  saw the girlfriend standing there, saying she wanted to get out, according to the complaint. Brown .. opened fire, hitting his girlfriend and sending bullets flying through the door and walls toward the officers. ... , Brown jumped out the window of the third-floor room and encountered McHenry County Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob Keltner, who was serving with the U.S. Marshals task force and was positioned outside in case Brown tried to escape.  Brown fired at him and hit the deputy fatally in the head, the complaint states.
