June 15, 2017 Xuzhou China Kindergarten Bombing killed: 8 injured: 65 suspect: dead A homemade improvised explosive device bomb blew up at the gate outside a kindergarten in eastern Chinese city of Xuzhou. The lone bomber identfied with surname Xu  was a local casual laborer who dropped out of school because of neurological disorder. He was identified from DNA at the blast and video, and apartment search found bomb making materials and bomb-making materials with walls emblazoned with writing about death, disaster and other related dark themes, but no motive was given, and there was no evidence of any linking to any terrorist motive. On 15 June 2017, a bombing at a kindergarten in Feng CountyXuzhou,Jiangsu province, east China, killed at least eight people and injured 65 others.[1][2][3]


According to the district government, the blast, which occurred at 4:50, did not kill any kindergarten students or teachers. The blast happened at the entrance on June 15 while children were leaving the Chuangxin Kindergarten in Fengxian. Two died on the spot and five succumbed to injuries at the hospital. Nine are still critical.[4]
The explosion was the result of a suicide bombing, in which the perpetrator, a 22-year-old man with surname Xu, also died. The bomber had dropped out of school but was employed, and had health problems.[5]
By late night, eight people had died, sixty-five were injured, with eight in a critical condition. The public security department were treating it as a criminal case.[6][7][8][9]
