April 2013 Ricin attack attempt was made in April 19, 2013 when a letter laced with ricin, a deadly poison, was sent to President Obama, along with a U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Mississippi, and Sadie Holland, a Justice Court judge in Lee County, Mississippi. Elvis impersonator Paul Kevin Curtis was charged in the case but later charges were dismissed as FBI agents searched the home of Everett Dutschke his nearby rival, who had been indicted by a grand jury, Dutschke was described by the Daily Beast as a " 41-year-old blues singer, karate master, insurance salesman, Mensa member, accused child molester, and one-time GOP candidate for the Mississippi House of Representatives" Dutschke pled guilty in January, 2014.
