3 shot, 2 in head November 13, 2013 Gunmen Emerge From Woods Shoot Pittsburgh High School and shot three students Wednesday afternoon 5 minutes after classes were dismissed. Two suffered head wounds. Three men dressed in black were reported shooting toward the school from a hill above. The victims recognized the shooters, which may linked to a possibly drug related fight near the school Oct. 18. Suspect Anjohnito “A.J.” Willet, a black male, told a witness he was going to the school to walk a friend home, but started shooting after he saw a group of students he recognized who had assaulted him over drugs, and decided to "take matters into his own account".

teen accused of opening fire on a group of students leaving Brashear High School on Wednesday told a witness he wanted to go to the school to walk his friend home,... Anjohnito “A.J.” Willet, 16, told the witness, who Pittsburgh police did not identify, that he didn't need to meet his friend anymore and now had a ride, then... Willet started shooting toward Crane Avenue.. the shooting victims were involved in a drug-related assault of Willet, a former Brashear student, on Oct. 18. Willet “made remarks that he would take matters into his own account,” police Lt. Kevin Kraus said. Two victims suffered gunshot wounds to the head.

The students were approached by at least one gunman who came out of the woods and opened fire, the school spokeswoman said. They were shot while walking to their cars.

Police said the three people shot knew the shooter or shooters. Pittsburgh police said information from school officers indicated today's shooting might be linked to a fight near the school Oct. 18 -- possibly drug-related -- which led to a lockdown there for a week.
"It has nothing to do with the school," Lt. Kraus said. "It just happened near the school."

Authorities were searching for the suspected shooter or shooters in the woods behind the school, WPXI reports.
According to the station:
Homicide detectives told Channel 11 News that three men walked out of nearby woods and fired shots at three students were shot as they were coming out of the school.
The detectives said the shooters were described as three black males wearing all black. The shooters ran back into the woods after firing shots, police said.
