A few thoughts on the near-simultaneous anti-terror operations in Libya and Somalia, where we captured a senior member of Al Qaeda and attacked al-Shabaab. It's interestingly that both involved raids, not drones. Presumably to gather more intelligence and to reduce risk of civilian deaths (with increased risk of American deaths). It was particularly bold to do this on the 20th anniversary of Black Hawk Down. The al-shabaab operation is the ...

It's interestingly that both involved raids, not drones. Presumably to gather more intelligence and to reduce risk of civilian deaths (with increased risk of American deaths). It was particularly bold to do this on the 20th anniversary of Black Hawk Down.
