January 23, 2013 Woman Kidnapped Prior to Everett Bank Robbery Everett Police today released additional details about the armed robbery of the North Everett Wells Fargo Bank at 18th and Broadway on January 23rd. Today they say prior to the robbery an Everett Community College student was kidnapped. Here are the new details…
5:00 p.m. on the evening of January 23, 2013, a female student attending Everett Community College returned to her vehicle parked on a public street near the college. As she neared her vehicle, an African-American male walked up, pointed a gun and demanded she get into her vehicle. Once inside, the man directed the student to drive to numerous locations around north Everett and the downtown district. At one point the man directed the student to park in downtown Everett. Before getting out, he threatened the student that if she left he would find and kill her since he knew her license plate number. The student was afraid and remained in the parked vehicle. The man returned and directed her to additional locations in Everett. Just before 6:00 p.m., the man directed the student to drive to the Wells Fargo Bank at 1801 Broadway Ave and ordered her to wait. The man returned within minutes and instructed the student to drive and drop him off near where he first abducted her. The student was not injured and later drove to the police department to report the crime.
