Vehicle Assault on Roseville Army Recruiters Like Little Rock September 17, 2013 52-year-old Enrico Darius Taylor of St. Paul ran over 2 Army recruiters in the parking lot in his Jeep Cherokee just as they were reaching their front door was they were returning from lunch. Staff Sgt. Michael Stroud went over the hood, but Sgt. First Class Travis Torgerson's leg got caught in the undercarriage. Despite calls for help, Taylor continued to drive, dragging Torgenson for nearly one mile and suffering a broken leg before the SUV stopped. Police are trying to determine a motive. Torgenson abandoned the vehicle near a motel which called police when he asked for a cab. When captured, the suspect admitted he had hit the pedestrians, and claimed he stopped to help pull the man out from under his Jeep. This bears a remarkable resemblance to the fatal 2009 double shooting of military recruiters in Little Rock Arkansas by a Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, born Carlos Leon Bledsoe who eventually confessed he was on a mission from Yemen to commit an act of jihad terrorism. That incident brought little attention from the press and was never prosecuted or classified as terrorism even after the confession which was not accepted or believed by lawyers or the courts. African american suspect of unknown religion had no indication of jihad as a motive other than his choice of a target.

December 8, 2010 BALTIMORE—Antonio Martinez, aka Muhammad Hussain, age 21, of Baltimore, a U.S. citizen, was charged by criminal complaint today with attempting to murder federal officers and employees and attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction against federal property in connection with a scheme to attack an Armed Forces recruiting station in Catonsville, Maryland. Martinez was arrested this morning after he attempted to remotely detonate what he believed to be explosives in a vehicle parked in the Armed Forces recruiting station parking lot. Hussain “indicated that if the military continued to kill their Muslim brothers and sisters, they would need to expand their operation by killing U.S. Army personnel where they live. He stated that jihad is not only in Afghanistan or Pakistan, but also in the United States.”
