He was spotted by a food service employee  at 7:50 a.m.  Students were not allowed to walk home.

The attack resulted in the deaths of 12 people, On 9 January, the assailants were cornered at an industrial estate in Dammartin-en-Goële, and they were connected to another shooting of a policewoman in Montrouge by a fourth suspect who was apparently in communication and also taking hostages at a jewish supermarket near Porte de Vincennes. Police raids were simultaneously conducted in Dammartin and at Porte de Vincennes, with all assailants killed, and some hostages injured or killed. Its last tweet before Wednesday's attack featured a cartoon of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.  Only radicalized Islamic groups have previously targeted the magazine as cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed spurred protests and the burning of the magazine's office three years ago. In November 2011, Charlie Hebdo's offices caught fire the day it was due to publish a cover making fun of Islamic law. No one took credit as some speculate they could be lone wolf terrorists. France has numerous attacks by "mentallly unstable" persons yelling religious slogans while attacking pedestrians and police or Jewish targets in past weeks.
