- 1 injured January 28, 2015 Retired deputy shot during E Houston restaurant robbery A retired deputy ended up getting shot when he tried to stop a robbery at a Church's Chicken restaurant in east Houston, police said. As the suspect held employees at gunpoint, a retired Harris County deputy pulled out his weapon to try and stop the crime. That's when the suspect opened fire and shot the deputy.
