- 4 killed 4 injured December 25, 2013 Christmas shootings leave 4 dead and 4 injured in US PressTV Nearly 1,000 people have been murdered in Chicago in the past two years, more than any other US city. Four people have been killed and four others injured in three separate shootings in the US on Christmas morning and Christmas Eve, according to US media reports. Three people were killed and two others were injured at a nightclub in the US state of New Jersey just after midnight Wednesday, UPI reported. Meanwhile, in Dorchester, Boston, a man was shot and killed early Christmas morning during a party, officials said. In another incident, shots were heard on neighboring Kingsdale Street and Talbot Avenue Edison High School teacher Steven Guerrero who let them take a computer but then fought back and was shot in the stomach and leg.
- Brutal attack on Tetyana Chornovil Accused of Government Terrorism December 25, 2013 34-year-old Tetyana Chornovil Ukrainian opposition journalist was stopped by a vehicle just after midnight. A group of unidentified men got out and broke the rear window of her car. "They then pulled her from the car, beat her and left her in a ditch," police said in a statement. Tetiana Chornovol, an Ukrainian civic activist and journalist, is dragged from her car and beaten by a group of men. Authorities say that this is the latest attack on government opponents. (CNN)
