1 suicide, hotel and truck damaged September 10, 2014 Ryan Brown Crashes Into Vegas Stratosphere, Commits Suicide Police believe 40-year-old driver intentionally drove a pickup truck through the glass doors of the Stratosphere casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Driver Ryan Brown struggled with security guards and told him he wanted to make news by jumping off the tower. Brown admitted using drugs for six days and smoking crack cocaine two hours before the crash. He drove on the sidewalk and argued with at least one man near the valet area, then "aggressively accelerated" and turned right toward the front glass doors of the casino. He was arrested on arrested on suspicion of reckless driving and possession and use of cocaine. He committed suicide in his hotel room after a judge released him from jail since no charges were filed.

Reuters "Brown told police he worked as an electrician for the weeklong Burning Man arts and culture festival in Nevada that ended on Sept. 1 but was fired due to a domestic dispute with his wife, the arrest report said."
Alternative theory - looks like a suicide attack with a vehicle using drugs and mental illness as a cover story for no obvious outside party or cause. Only one scenario makes sense.
