May 1, 2014 Stabbing of Israeli Woman Shelly Dadon Was Terrorist Motivated Crime 20-year-old Shelly Dadon in an empty parking lot in northern Migdal Haemek in Israel. Dadon was on her way to a job interview when she was stabbed and killed and initial evidence found at the scene led investigators to focus on nationalistic motives, but no final motive has been established. By September of 2014, it had been classified as a terror attack after an Arab taxi cab driver Hussein Yusuf Khalifa from the mixed Muslim-Christian village of Iblin in northern Israel has confessed to the murder outside the factory where she was bound for a job interview. After he reconstructed the crime, police command investigators and Shin Bet believed his motive was “nationalistic", or in other words, a terrorist attack.
In Israel, when a woman is attacked, the motive could be a nationalistic attack on an Israeli by an Arab. Such a motive has never been established in the US for killings of women.

With far less evidence of nationalism being the motive of her accused murderer, Dadon’s murder has been classified as a terror attack.
