Sutherland Springs church shooting - Wikipedia

On November 5, 2017, a mass shooting took place at the First Baptist Church in the unincorporated community of Sutherland Springs, Texas, about 35 miles (56 km) east of the city of San Antonio.[1][2] Twenty-six people were killed and a further 20 were injured. It is the deadliest shooting in an American place of worship, surpassing the Charleston church shooting of 2015.[3]

Shooting[edit]

At approximately 11:20 a.m. CST, a man wearing black tactical gear and wielding a semi-automatic rifle exited a vehicle at a gas station across the street from the church and immediately began firing in the direction of the church.[4] After crossing the street, he approached the building from the right while firing, and continued to fire as he entered the church.[5] He used a Ruger AR-15-pattern rifle according to law enforcement officials.[6][7] The "semi-automatic gunfire" was heard by a witness.[8]
As the gunman left the church, a local resident armed with a rifle shot at him,[9] and may have injured him.[5] The gunman dropped his rifle and fled in his car. The resident flagged down a car driving by, and the driver and resident pursued him at high speed for about five to seven minutes. The gunman lost control of his car and drove off the road in neighboring Guadalupe County,[10] near the city of New Berlin.[11] He was observed to be motionless by the two men in pursuit. According to one of them, police took over the scene when they arrived.[12] The gunman was found dead by police in his car from a gunshot wound. It is unclear who inflicted it.[13][9][2][14]
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents from nearby San Antonio, along with agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, have not revealed a motive.[5][2]

Victims[edit]

Twenty-six people were killed and 20 others were injured.[15] Among the casualties, 23 died inside the church, two outside, and one in a hospital.[15] The ages of the deceased ranged from 5 to 72.[15] Several children were killed, one of them the 14-year-old daughter of church pastor Frank Pomeroy, as well as a pregnant woman.[16][17] The Sunday church service is usually attended by approximately 50 people.[5]
The victims were taken to Connally Memorial Medical Center in FloresvilleUniversity Hospital in San Antonio, and Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston.[18]

The perpetrator was identified as 26-year-old Devin Patrick Kelley,[19] described as a "young, white male" by police.[5] Kelley was formerly a U.S. Air Force member who served in logistics readiness at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico from 2009 until 2014. In 2012, he was court-martialed for two counts of Article 128 UCMJ, for assaulting his spouse and her child.[20][21] He was sentenced to 12 months of confinement and a reduction to the lowest service pay grade of E-1. In 2014, he was dismissed with a bad conduct discharge.[22][23][24]
Kelley lived in New Braunfels, about 35 miles (56 km) from Sutherland Springs. He married in April 2011, and divorced in October 2012.[25] His former mother-in-law has a Sutherland Springs mailing address,[26] and is reportedly a parishioner at the First Baptist Church.[27] According to preliminary news reports, Kelley might have had a personal connection to one or more persons at the church he targeted.[28]
According to several media reports, Kelley had worked at the Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Resort in New Braunfels, and was licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety as a security guard.[29][30][31]
On October 29, a week before the shooting, he posted a photo of an assault rifle on his Facebook profile.[32]

Reactions[edit]

United States President Donald Trump was in Japan at the time of the attack; he tweeted: "May God be w/ the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas. The FBI & law enforcement are on the scene. I am monitoring the situation from Japan."[33][34]
Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, and U.S. Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz responded via statements or tweets.[5][14][35][36]
Later in the day, Paxton proposed in a TV interview that churches must employ professional armed security guards, or at least arm more parishioners, to counter church shootings which he said have happened "forever" and will again.[37]
Fake news websites immediately began publishing misleading stories,[38] such as giving the wrong name of the shooter,[38] identifying the shooter as a Democrat or atheist or Muslim,[38] or the shooter carried an Antifa flag and told churchgoers "this is a communist revolution".[39][40]

Arrests: Was San Antonio Church Shooting Government Staged?  Pair arrested after harassing pastor in Sutherland Springs
By Gordon Duff, Senior Editor - March 6, 20180514

The pair believe the church shooting was staged by accomplices of the government, though Pomeroy, whose 14-year-old daughter was killed there, knows better.

“He said, ‘Your daughter never even existed. Show me her birth certificate. Show me anything to say she was here,’” Pomeroy said. “I just told him there was enough evidence already visible, so if he chooses not to see that, how would I know he would believe anything else?”
Two conspiracy theorists who have pushed the idea that the mass shooting at Sutherland Springs on Nov. 5 didn’t happen were arrested Monday at First Baptist Church, the site of the massacre, after the church’s pastor accused them of repeatedly harassing the community.

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office declined to provide charging information on Robert Ussery, 54, who founded conspiracy website Side Thorn, and his partner Jodi Mann, 56, who is referred to as “Conspiracy Granny” online. The booking process was not complete Monday evening and no information would be made available until Tuesday, a supervisor there said.

Ussery “continually yelled and screamed and hollered and told me he was gonna hang me from a tree, and pee on me while I’m hanging,” said Frank Pomeroy, the pastor.

The piece included speculation about Kelley’s antifa flag, though the site later updated its article to note that the claims had been debunked and wrote on Facebook that it had made a “mistake” publishing “unverified information  A video called “Sutherland Springs Church Shooting – Federal False Flag” had more than 15,000 views and another titled “ANTIFA Texas Church Shooter False Flag Fiasco” had more than 5,000 hits. After a Las Vegas gunman committed the deadliest US mass shooting in modern history last month, YouTube promoted a wide range of videos claiming the massacre was a hoax or a government-staged conspiracy featuring actors posing as victims. One day after survivors and victims’ relatives condemned the Google-owned platform, YouTube said it was making tweaks to its algorithm so that reliable content would appear more prominently.  While some of the offensive videos were taken down or removed in search results, others suggesting victims were liars or performers remained on the site. Hours after the Texas shooting in a Baptist church Sunday morning, viral claims spread on a number of social media platforms that Kelley was associated with “antifa”, the anti-fascist movement that is frequently the target of conspiracy theories promoted by far-right propagandists. Some fake news stories claimed the gunman carried an “Antifa flag”, spoke of a “communist revolution” and was targeting conservative churches.  , both Google and YouTube search bars promoted “antifa” as the first autocomplete suggestion for users who typed the suspect’s name. The subsequent results included a number of propaganda videos, including one titled “DEVIN PATRICK KELLEY ANTIFA CONFIRMED *PROOF*” and another labeled “Devin Kelley is ANTIFA”. Some of those videos also appeared in top results for a simple search of his name.

They spoke vaguely of some "operation." When a reporter for The Washington Post approached the women, she was pushed and shoved away. One woman grabbed the reporter's phone and accused her of recording what they'd said.   real Sam Hyde is man whom Forbes described last year as a "second-rate internet comedian" in a story about why 4chan users and various other internet pranksters kept trying to frame him for atrocities

The alleged assailant managed to do less God’s work than his own, slaughtering 26 and injuring 20 others.  Kelley’s case, the procedural book of confusion and interpretation again came into play. He was white, a pasty picture of ugliness and self-defeat. For that very reason, he seemed to defy the category of terrorist from the start, which is, once admitted by the authorities, filled with earth moving gravitas and, importantly, patriotic consequence. A terrorist, once labelled, demands a different, and even convenient form of treatment. The US President has duly taken his cue to avoid using the word altogether. American Everyman  Sutherland Springs Shooting: What We Know So Far.. and what we don’t (AE video) - The second mass casualty event in 5 weeks targeting the kinds of people who support Republicans in congress an  Alison Maynard, on November 6, 2017 at 9:22 am said:

Just interesting, that this happened at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, while there was a fatal bus accident in March involving members of the First Baptist Church in nearby New Braunfels.

There were many highly suspicious things about that church bus accident, such as the guy who hit the bus being observed weaving and texting for many miles by people in a car behind him, who reported it to police (and there was no response); the failure to arrest or charge the perpetrator with any crime for months; and the coincidental introduction of a bill in the Texas legislature to ban texting while driving, with huge publicity about the necessity for it, all pointing to that crash.

Methinks the First Baptist Church is on the payroll.

Stephen Lendman at November 6, 2017 Another False Flag in America? by Stephen Lendman It’s too soon to know. If so, they’re piling up with disturbing regularity, the latest incident in Sutherland Springs, Texas near San Antonio. Were multiple gunmen involved? Solid evidence proved the Las Vegas one-gunman claim was a bald-faced lie. Shooting came from multiple directions. Suspect Stephen Paddock is dead so he can’t talk. From what’s known, he appears used as a convenient patsy. So were all others accused in previous high-profile US and European violent incidents – proven false flags. Was Sutherland Springs, Texas the latest one? From what’s known so far, there’s reason to be suspicious about the official account of what happened. High-profile incidents like Sunday’s always warrant suspicions. US military are terrorist.
If they are in your country
Arrest them and kick them out.

Armed robbery abroad and massmurder at home. These barbarian ruffians pretend to be a shining example of a civilized nation destined to rule upon the rest of humanity. Civilized nation let's see : 25 to 100 million AmerIndians ruthlessly slaughtered and their land stolen to begin with. Then came wars of agression abroad : hundred of millions killed and maimed and their cultures annihilated intentionally in the past 150 years. This is civilization US style. And savagery goes on and on. May God curse them

I'm sorry, yes it is tragic, but as I no longer believe the mainstream news, now I have to begin playing "I wonder what happened?" For example, I wonder if the person dead in the vehicle was the same person who walked into the church.

copy cat trying to out do the Las Vegas massacre. Unfortunately, we may see more of it.
I feel so sad especially for the 14 year old girl. Too young to have to die like this.

Saddened by the state of USA5 hours ago
Look it is horrible, but it is what you deserve when you create a mentality amongst your people that it is ok to drop bombs and kill millions of people around the world to suit your own agenda's..... Unfortunate and sad but well deserved!

God's way of punishing arrogance. Let them feel pain for their atrocities. California's costly wildfire, devastating hurricanes, mass shootings. Nothing happens through accident. God is the greatest. Of course they are going to accuse Muslims and Iran for all the calamities. And this is Iran's response to accusations : go to hell massmurderers

It probably was a Mossad false flag. They've had lot of practice shooting children.
Mossad and IDF has also been in Syria fighting as ISIS.
But who cares? Dead Americans is a reason to celebrate. Those
dead American children are "worth it".

no in Texas the Baptist Churches are like an occult. It could be anything I doubt it's Mossad. Mossad is Las Vegas.

Let them kill themselves in exchange for the massacre of innocents abroad. Let them feel the pain. God is the grearest

false flag operation. There is no way one gun man coild of killed 25 and injure another 25+ all by himself before people be able to rich him and stop him. And then he supposedly got away 5 miles before police gets to him. The real shooters are those claiming to be injured.
That so called suspect was in a wrong place at the wrong time. But of course those so called injured can identify him as the shooter.

The Jews are sending America a message. It looks like they thought Las Vegas wasn't enough of a message for the goy.

Same American gun culture mentality being used to kill innocent women and children all over the world in their "Artificial Wars of Terror & Greed"

BTW,it could be a Zionist operation.
Zionists will try to blame Muslims

EXCLUSIVE: The San Antonio Distraction from Trump’s Impending Fall (Govt did it false flag)
By Ian Greenhalgh - November 5, 2017 [Editor’s note: The tragic deaths of at least 26 people in San Antonio, TX, while attending church on Sunday is most likely nothing more than a cruel and hyper-cynical attempt at distracting the US public’s gaze from the rapidly approaching indictment and take down of figures very close to the heart of the Trump administration in Manafort and Flynn, men whom VT had identified as utterly corrupt foreign assets months ago.

In 2012, Reuters confirmed part of this but the truth really came out when 2 Azeri military officers defected to Iran confirming the results of a combined Veterans Today (pro-Russia) and Press TV (Iran) investigation.  BAKU (REUTERS) – ISRAEL’S “GO-IT-ALONE” OPTION TO ATTACK IRAN’S NUCLEAR SITES HAS SET THE MIDDLE EAST ON EDGE AND UNSETTLED ITS MAIN ALLY AT THE HEIGHT OF A U.S. PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION CAMPAIGN.

Texas Church Mass Shooting Worst in State’s History
By Ian Greenhalgh - November 5, 20174646

This event happened only a couple of hours ago and it is too soon to make any pronouncements; however, as always with any mass shooting event it is prudent to remember the False Flag Checklist and remain vigilant for any suspicious aspects:

  • Drill at the Same or Nearby Time and Place
  • Foreknowledge
  • Eyewitnesses Have Conflicting Accounts
  • MSM Quickly Name and Demonize the Patsy
  • Patsy Has No Military Training, Yet Shoots Extremely Fast and Accurately
  • Patsy Gets Killed, Drugged or “Suicided”
  • Driver’s Licence or Passport of shooter(s) conveniently found at scene
  • Shooter Leaves Manifesto
  • Evidence Gets Conveniently Destroyed
  • No Obvious Motive for the Mass Attack
  •  Immediate Calls for Gun Control
  • Fake “Victims” = Crisis Actors
  • “Victims” Get Killed Twice
  • Families of “Victims” Have Elite or Acting Backgrounds.
  • Families of “Victims” Show Little to No Emotion, and Even Snigger and Laugh
  • Families of “Victims” Receive Millions in Federal Payoffs

They certainly are accelerating the false flags -- not even allowing the usual two weeks in between...what's cooking?

So the pastor of that very church—who’s young daughter has just been destroyed by automatic gunfire, along with many others in his congregation—gets it together enough to give a telephone interview to the news shortly thereafter?
Are we honestly expected to believe this stuff? Again?
Doesn’t get any less weirder, stateside. Either that, or they still breed ’em tough down Texas way.

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu Expresses Solidarity With Victims of Shooting ‘Savagery’ at Texas Church Algemeiner  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed solidarity with the victims of Sunday’s shooting attack on a Baptist church in Texas in which up to 27 people have been killed. Netanyahu said he was “horrified by the savagery in Texas.” Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, founder and president of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, said the shooting was an act of “terror.” “Terror that penetrates into a house of prayer is particularly evil and cruel, and seeks to undo decades of bridge building by and between people of faith,” Eckstein said. “Sadly, there are people who want to turn us back toward old circles of hatred.”

Sutherland Springs mass murderer’s widow breaks silence, details husband’s final call before suicide
The widow of the Sutherland Springs mass killer has broken her silence for the first time since the deadly November massacre.
Danielle Kelley, the widow of Devin Patrick Kelley – the man responsible for the Sutherland Springs, Texas, mass killing in November — has publicly broken her silence for the first time since her husband took the lives of at least 25 people at First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs.

Danielle Kelley said that despite her husband’s especially heinous act, she’ll love him forever.

What are the details?
In a series of interviews with the San Antonio Express-News, Kelley said that her husband’s behavior was off the morning he embarked on the murder spree — namely tying her to her bed with a rope, handcuffs, and tape while their 2-year-old son cried in the bedroom.

CBS News reported that Danielle Kelley said her husband told her that he loved her, kissed their 5-month-old daughter, and told the crying 2-year-old that he’d be right back.

She said he then proceeded to pick up his rifle and two handguns, and equipped himself with tactical gear.

“You get a sense of what’s going to happen,” Danielle Kelley told the newspaper. “Because no one just leaves in all-black attire with a ballistic vest.”

He left the home, and traveled to the Sutherland Springs church, where he gunned down at least 25 congregants and injured at least 20 more.
