Williams Jr., shot and killed by a Weirton Police Officer  Stephen Mader, a 25-year-old Marine Corps veteran confronted a black man who his girlfriend told 911 was armed with a gun and intended to commit suicide by cop by threatening the police. The gun was later found to be not loaded. Mader hesitated to shoot because he suspect did not aim the gun at him, but backup police who showed up shot him after he started waving the gun at officers. Mader was later fired for reasons authorities said were not all related to the shooting.
