   I'm pretty sure we're looking at the bow door. The opening is more or less squared, compared to the rectangular (wider than its height) opening on the aft door that's visible in all outside images of 072. Plus there's the tapered walls near the end.

   Actually, looking at the all the available images of 072, i'd say it doesn't have any deck well, contrary to some writings online. And I think that's a good thing. Having a deck well is good for launching small craft from a ship. But it doesn't really help with launching amphibious vehicles. So better to use 072 for amphibious vehicles and let the smaller craft be carried by 071. I guess later subvariants of 072 may have a small well deck, though.

   I do think that all 072 variants have a continuous single cargo section/well deck.
   
   It's not really a well deck as such I suppose, because it cannot be flooded at all, but it does allow deployment of AFVs or boats from the aft door.
   
   I think this cutaway is relatively instructive, even if all the cutaways from warship knowledge magazine are not fully 100% accurate, but in this case I think it's about right
